Concerning the new player experience..

I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me in saying the new player experience really is...shitty. There is just so much to learn about the game and as a new player that could be over welming and cause them to stop playing all together.

So, what if we had this system in place where older more knowledgeable players could sign up as a type of mentor, and the new player could sign up asking to be mentored. The system would then connect us and we'd take it from there.

For this to be effective i'd advise the mentor have to pass some sort of test..to make sure they are indeed knowledgeable lol.

Maybe even have sub-categories for each player to select if they wish to be mentored on a specific thing.

Some sort of buddy system :).

Btw, this was not my idea, i saw it on a youtube comment and thought hey, this should be taken to the league boards :D.

[slayer-jinx-catface] what do you guys think of this idea? :D.

I think the better situation would be Riot staff actually managing the community when there are reports made. I had a friend in plat 5 who recently said that trolls and that shit just aren't as common in ranked as I said. We played 2 games with his smurf where a troll ruined one and the other where team was literally so bad and did so little to actually listen that his 28/3/5 yi jungle with 100% kill participation couldn't balance our the rest of the team. 4 of those other 5 kills were me as a support on Sona.

He never tilts when we do our usual normals on his main account even though I'm b4, but he tilted that. I honestly felt bad that I ruined his night by having him play in me elo. That's just how it is in low elo now. He says it was never like that back when he started a few years ago and he never sees trolls in his games anymore.

This game isn't newbie friendly and Riot doesn't do too much to help.
