Josiah, the True Warrior

To those survivors of GD, I'm sure you read this before, and this is a slight change compared to the old one. But for those new here, enjoy reading of what I have in mind

Lore: Ain't gonna make it long, so Imma just put it almost as short as Shurimas

Josiah, know to be the True Warrior of the Frejlord, was one of those rare warriors who doesn't fret or cower in any fights he's been in. In every fight he proposes, he yields great courage & dignity to always fight til the last breath, between man & man. The only thing he despise the most were those type of warriors who only fights with puny arrows & guns, which would disgrace their own warrior image. And so, as Josiah begins to prepare himself by donning himself with the Relic Armor Cast of Frejlord, which has been pass down from his great great ancestor, he sets off to the Fields of Justice for two purposes: To fight the best of the bests, and to dispose off of coward range mercenaries"

Attribute: Fighter Secondary: Tank

Recommended lane: Top/Mid Secondary lane: Jungle

Passive: No Place for Cowardice!

Josiah's basic attack & abilities deals double damage to range champions, and range champions will take 40% reduced damage from any one of Josiah's repeated abilities for 6 seconds. Josiah takes reduced damage from range champion by 10/14/18. His passive will not proc when together with an allied champion, resulting in reduced armor of 10/15/20.

Q: Triple Blows

Cost: 45/50/55/60/65 mana Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 Range: 150

Josiah deals 3-consecutive devastating blows to a single champion, dealing 26/29/32/36/40 (+50% Attack Damage) from the first 2 hits, while the third one deals 35/45/55/65/75 true damage. Each basic attack reduces his Triple Blow's cooldown by 1.

W- Muscular Power

Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 mana Cooldown: 15/15/15/12/12 Range: 550

Passive: Josiah receives 5/7/9/11/15 armor & magic resist. Active: Josiah rams a short distance to enemies, knocking back enemy units to the side, and deals 30/40/50/60/70 (+40% Bonus Attack Damage) attack damage. Enemies hit are slowed for 20/25/30/35/40% for 1.5 seconds. Minions & monster takes 100% damage. His Muscular Power's cooldown is reduced by 1 second for each champion hit.

E- Suplex

Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 mana Cooldown: 13/12/11/10/9 Range: 125

Josiah grabs a single enemy and throws him behind him to the ground head first, dealing 65/75/85/95/105 (+75% Attack Damage) magic damage and stuns him for 1 second.

R- Ultimate Blow

Cost: 150/125/100 mana Cooldown: 120/100/90 Range: 125 AoE Range: About J4's ring

Josiah builds one of his fist with all the power of Frejlord he can possess, and blows it on a single champion, dealing 150/200/225 (+70% Attack Damage), stunning the target for 1 second, while surrounding enemies takes 40% damage and slowed for 25% for 2 seconds. This move's cast time is as long as Braum's ult.

Starting Items Doran's Shielditem 1054 Health Potionitem 2003 Yellow Trinketitem 3340

Essential Items Ninja Tabiitem 3047 Brutalizeritem 3134 Phageitem 3044

Offensive Items Ravenous Hydraitem 3074 Trinity Forceitem 3078 Maw of Malmortius item 3156 Blade of the Ruined Kingitem 3153

Defensive Items Randuin's Omenitem 3143 Frozen Malletitem 3022 Locket of the Iron Solariitem 3190

Playing as Josiah

  • Use Muscular Power, follow up by Suplex & Triple Blows can do devastating damage against a single target by surprise.
  • Josiah excels in small skirmishes against a couple of range champions solo due to his passive. Try roaming around their lane once in a while.
  • It would be ideal if you were to build on Attack Speed more than Attack Damage to increase damage output to lower the Triple Blow's cooldown faster. A balance of both would be suitable.

Playing against Josiah

  • If you're a range champion (eg. Ryze or Lucian), Josiah is considered a high threat when being alone in lane, while Josiah's power is low when together with a single ally of his.
  • Deny him to fight against you face-to-face in melee range as much as possible. The longer he battles in melee range, the stronger he becomes.

Please comment your thoughts on this, especially Reds. Thank you. :D

I like your idea. A Freljordian MMA fighter. Finally Ionia can stop hogging them all. I love your ideas for the moves and his titles. Won't lie, I'd be sacred to fight him in the Rift. My only concern is he does seem a bit to powerful, but that can be worked out in time.

If I may offer some ideas for some alternate names though (pardon the "For... use" I do that so they line up).

For "Triple Blow" use "Rapid Punch" For "Muscular power" use "Iron Ram" For "Ultimate Blow" use "Strike of the Freljord"

Thanks for the support :) but I do agree my abilities' names is pretty literal tho. Ill only support the Iron Ram & Strike of the Frejlord names, but for the Rapid Punch, it doesn't really suited it. For his Q, Josiah will do two punches frst, then 3rd does an elbow strike. So this is one reason why I don't think I can agree with Rapid Punch. Also kinda sounds Pokemon-ish. No offence :p

I do agree. Hm.. I can come up with some ideas. Until then I came up with one of my own ideas. Please check him out. I call him Dreadgear.

I kinda forgot to ask. If you could please try and pass word of my ideas to your friends? Maybe check them out and leave any criticisms to. I'll do my best to spread word of your man Josiah to.

His passive is too strong, double damage is a sheen for every blow.... Your other ability don't have CD ,range, cost mentioned. You don't have any stat on the champ either. ** Overview:** not a complete Champion concept yet

Double damage only works if your top/mid is at least a 400+ range champion, but the passive won't be proc if you're standing among at least one teammate, which means you won't do too much damage with your passive in teamfights. Also means you have to cross your finger lots before team matchmaking if you want to be up against a top Ryze/Vayne.

Yep, I apologize for the other missing stats. Will be listing them out now, including recommended items.

Greetings,

400 isn't too far mate (don't forget to add it on the description btw^^). To help the picture, you know the infamous reworked Sona's aura that people complain that is too small. It is at 350 unit and Khazix isolation is 500. Point is, it will happen often especially if the fight break and if the team was not all cluster in one spot. If they were caught all together they do deserved to get wombo combo :). Once a fight break and your role should be to dive for the back line and your passive will be up all the time since the tank serve as front line, and as a bruiser you should be the one hacking their back line. (coordinated team fight speaking at higher level)

Most range people have a higher range than 400 so it means you can probably gank with your range support and ADC and still keep your Passive.(mini Gnar, who has the smallest range, is at 400 range lvl 1 but get higher after) Lol wiki range can help^^

What you should keep in mind while building your champion is its power spike. Is he an early, mid, or late game champion. Against late game hyper carry as Ryze and Vayne who specialize at dueling late game it will be quite sad and unfair if their early/mid game is crap and still get stomp by your champ late game too. ** No worry since it takes time to go through stat creating a champ is time consuming :) Good luck**.

PS: General trend of Bruiser are good early/excel mid/average late. Trend of a tank is poor Early/ medium mid/ good Late. ADC: poor early (that is why you babysit with a support)/ medium mid/ Great late. Mage: Medium early/ excel mid/ good late Hyper carry: Poor early/medium mid/ excel Late.

All trends have weak and strong point. Your seems to fit the bruiser category more for now.

**Hope you take those critics positively because you did a good job up to now. **

Well I guess I gotta keep note that range is starting from 450, just for some "mercy rules" for the small rangies like Gnar & Urgot. And also like I said, his whole passive will not work if he were to stand near an ally, means no double range damage, no reduced range aa blocks. Sorry I didn't kept the passive explanation clear enough. To be honest, I'm thinking of toning down the passive reduction anyway.

For Josiah, his late game power to be kind of a tankier fighter than a more fighter type than tank, means he has to either rush tank builds after botrk, or straight to health builds to cover up his lost defences in team fights. Josiah is just mostly known to be a powerful 1 v 1 fighter, also mostly on range champions of 450+ lol.

Sorry again if this sin't what you expected from the unclear ability/passive functions. I will try to fix around it again if possible, if this thread gets any attention to others T.T
