Champion Concept... concept?
This is more of a general thought of what I'd like to see in a champion one day than a direct design idea, but what if there was a champion made that was a SUPER generalist and could literally do everything well, depending on how you built them. IE they have some ranged aspects, some melee aspects, some utility, some AP stuff. It would be cool to see a kit that was flexible depending on how you built it.
Now, I don't mean that they're good at everything all at once. If you built the champ to be good as a ranged champ, they should lose strength in other areas. If you build them AP, they're other aspects should get weaker. I think with very unique scaling with certain stats, it could be possible without making an OP champ.
Here's a few ability ideas:
Q - At X amount of AD, champion gains ranged attack. At X amount of AP, champion gains AOE spell. At X amount of Health, champion gains CC ability.
It would be possible to build them hybrid in 2 areas and maybe gain access to 2 of a spells utilities, but not the 3rd. If a player chooses to focus on one single stat, maybe there could be a passive that activates once they reach a certain point in that stat. IE make their passive: at 300 AD, champion gains X attack range on their basic attack and X attack speed. At 3k health, champion gains a shield when activating abilities. At X AP, champion's cooldowns are reduced by X amount when landing a spell or basic attack. Then players could try to find build paths to trigger their passive and the extra abilities on their skills by meeting the stat requirements to unlock them.
Its a fairly complicated concept but I think there could be some really cool avenues to explore with this idea. Thoughts?
