I feel we are gonna have a Void event Also, Koggy Daddy coming? Or a full on Void Invasion of Runeterra

JohnJonesy2 votes

C'mon it's obviously Yone and the whole Project skin line is just a cover up so people don't notice Yasuo's bro rising from the underworld.

Hehe but seriously though I would love a void event. Like, The Twisted Treeline getting a Void-esque makeover, and a new void champ, of course with the traditional 3 letters-apostrophe-3 letters.

I want to see some sort of Void Commander (thus "They" are coming) that uses little void underlings, like a mix ofYorick andMalzahar .

EDIT: Read the Dha'ma design thoroughly and would be very happy with it if it was a champ. BUT IT ONLY HAS 2 LETTERS IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE NAME AAAARGH

Mister Sunglow2 votes

Actually i think they'd make a champion who - perhaps isn't a void creature - but another human that fell into the void (Malzahar or Kassadin kinda guy). They could even make a new map (I know we just got a "new" map") but it could be a new game type! Because -_ let's face it_ - we _need _more maps for me to keep playing this game, the originals are gettin' kinda old.

To me it looks more like a Freljord event. Kinda looks like an eye to me. Hope it’s gonna be a Watcher, one of the things Lissandra worships...

Rew7111 votes

I will not believe it. The next Void champ must be a support to finish the list. :'(

Chogath tank Khazix assassin KogMaw marksman RekSai fighter Velkoz mage ? support :'(

The next champ is not going to be a support so therefore I must fight the urge to want it to be Void until then as a support main person.

ElJanitorFrank1 votes

If you want a full team comp:

Kha'Zix mid Cho'Gath top Rek'Sai Jungler Kog'Maw ADC Vel'Koz Support

All of those are viable picks. Kha'Zix isn't played mid much anymore, but it was definitely meta at one point and wouldn't be bad or anything currently.

Rew7111 votes

Not a team comp, there are 6 primary roles and they're just short 1.

KANYE OBAMA GOD1 votes

What's the 6th role? lol

Rew7111 votes

Tank, Mage, Fighter, Marksman, Assassin, and Support.

ElJanitorFrank1 votes

I don't see how that's relevant at all. Vel'Koz can be played support, and a very good support at that. Labeling him as a support wouldn't change anything at all.

You don't need 6 primary roles if there are 5 slots.

Rew7111 votes

I would had thought Cho'Gath would had been a better pick for support...

ElJanitorFrank1 votes

Not really. Cho'Gath has dodgeable CC, is very mana hungry, needs CS to proc his passive, and needs kills or CS to get stacks on his R.

Vel'Koz is great because his passive scales with level, not items, so he'll always do more damage than other poke supports in the game. His poke is pretty easy to get off, and he has a great teamfighting ultimate that doesn't fall off because of his passive.

He's like a DotA 2 support, in DotA 2, abilities don't scale with anything besides rank, so supports are usually burst mages that don't need items. Just like Vel'Koz.

have to send kha'zix top for the passive doe

I'm going to laugh if "They" refers to a two-headed dragon..or ogre. DOTA2 anyone?

Seriously, a duo champ would be fun. Whether it's these little..spirit..guys..girls..things... or whatever else. A Watcher would be really awesome, too. Lissandra will be ecstatic.

Lissandra The Watchers have returned! Notice me!

Wasn't the post about these champs like 5 or so months ago that seems like a really short time to make a champion compared to the others. Matter of fact how long does it naturally take to make a champion?

ElJanitorFrank2 votes

It'll take upwards of 2 years go create a champion, usually.

It depends on a LOT of things, they could probably get a champion up in 4 months.

And sometimes it takes longer, but not usually due to them not being able to create the champion; just reshuffling abilities and power, changing their kits, etc.

Ao Shin was 'announced' over 2 years ago.

well they probably already had a basic design for a dual champ before so it probably reduced the time to make it by alot, and it could vary depending on if they have any new mechanics or if its just using a bunch of old ones

is there really a difference? all of them work by the same rules Build ap Have cooldown reduction Spam abilities

At best I can excuse Tahm cuz he is a tank above all else

Saying mage like it's any different the last Sniper was tristana rework

gaby1best2 votes

Yes, they are very different. You can't pick Viktor and say: "Hey, I'll suddenly appear in their back line, kill the ADC and fly away; they won't know what hit'em.". The same way you can't pick Ekko and say: "I'll just stay behind my tanks and poke them to nothing even before the fight starts. "

There are no snipers in the game tho, they're marksmen. And that's after Azir(last mage, my bad) was released.

Anyway, Riot confirmed it will definitely NOT going to be a support and they don't think it's gonna be a marksman either.

What do they build? What is their source of damage? In the most basic of mastery forms are they AD, AP or Tank? You don't play Zed the same way you play trydamere, does not mean they aren't ad You don't use Sion the same way you use Shen, does that mean they aren't tanks?

They are AP, pure and simple And we haven't had an AD in much longer

ElJanitorFrank2 votes

3 AD champions just got reworked.

And 1 AP champion got updated to have AD scalings mixed in.

It's called the Juggernaut update.

cool, small changes don't really qualify as a full update but cool does that change the fact that we have had nothing more than NEW AP champs since half of 2014?

I'm sorry did any of them get their abilities replaced by totally different ones? Because that is what happened with real updates like Sion, Tristana, Gangplank

ElJanitorFrank1 votes

Mordekaiser's Q is totally different, his W acts completely differently, he can now have the dragon as a pet, and he goes in a completely different role than he used too.

Darius got his passive completely changed, his Q got changed, his W got changed, his E got a QoL change, and his ultimate got changed. I don't want to go into literally all of the changes, but all of them are significant enough to mention.

Skarner got a totally different passive, a lot of stat changes, his E got his old passive, I don't remember anything else because I never bothered to read up on it.

Garen didn't get changed that much, except for a lot of numbers shifting around and getting an entirely new mechanic on his ultimate.

Garen MIGHT be considered to have gotten small changes, besides that, no, they were all quite significant.

And how is Mordekaiser not as updated as Tristana? Did she not keep pretty much everything except the one change in her kit that gave her a bomb?

It's unfair to bring up Sion, he got a complete relaunch and was changed more than any other champion ever has been in the game.

those are changes not "updates"

Mordekaiser yeah he is different now because of Q and dragon, but everything else are minor changes You still play everyone else the same way you did before Tristanas new E changed her entire playstyle to revolve around the bombs Sion is the perfect example of a real UPDATE

If changing number or giving new things to abilities is considered an update then congrats Every single thing we call a nerf or buff is an update now

Lee sin wasn't buffed, he was "updated"

But none of this changes the fact that we haven't received a NEW AD champ since half of 2014

surrender at 20 says that when they dig into the files for those, it brings up TahmKench and Bard and both of those are pretty magical people. http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/08/826-pbe-update.html

20Seven5 votes

It doesn't say that at all. It says:

Several files named "TheyAreComing", including visuals and and sounds. While we don't know exactly what this is referencing yet, we've seen similar mysterious files pop up teasing Tahm Kench and Bard prior to their releases.

Summary: This is likely a new champion teaser, because similar things happened before TK and Bard were released. Reading comprehension has gone to hell these days.

ya, that is a bad on my part. i should have just copied and pasted what it said word for word instead of trying to reword it.
