Lichbane Should Grant 20% CDR But Cost ~3,450 Gold

Essentially, Triforce costs slightly more than the suggested price of 3,450 gold, but it grants not only 5% move speed (Lichbane 7%), but an entire 10% more CDR as well as all of the other things it gives. This makes Lichbane fairly cost inefficient at its current price of 3,200 gold. However, since someone thought that was a fair price to begin with, I think they should buff the CDR it gives and increase the gold cost slightly, or, simply buff the CDR it gives and keep the cost at 3200 gold, to be more in line w/ the utility a person gets from purchasing a Trinity Force.

The main reason I'm making this post is because building Lichbane on Leona in incredibly cost inefficient when it should be one of the better choices due to the AP scaling on all of her abilities. Due to the lack of 10% more CDR, it is incredibly inefficient in terms of item slots to build this item on her.

Item slot limitation is a valid concern for all builds and things of this nature need to be concerned when the item is designed, not after someone decides they want to use it.

I really don't think we need any more sources of CDR in the game.

Triforce also gives attack speed, health, 10% more CDR, movement speed on-hit or on-kill, and a much higher base (can't stress this enough, base) AD scaling. Lich Bane is the only Spellblade item in the game that scales, making it unique and strong enough as is.

If you're playing support Leona, you should already have enough CDR with:

  • Your support item (10% CDR)
  • The 10% CDR from Transcendance or 5% from Cosmic Insight
  • Lich Bane adds another 10%
  • The 10% scaling CDR Stat Shard from your runes

If you're playing off-meta Leona, Lich Bane should be your 2nd/3rd item since building it first is inefficient anyway. From what I've heard (I don't play Leona myself) she doesn't rely on CDR as much as other champions and can manage with 10-20%.

You're assuming the person will take Transcendence and a CDR Rune (which no one should be taking, terribly inefficient since it scales from ONE to Ten % - if it started at 5%, maybe, but horribly inefficient because of how slow supports get EXP.

Telling me that because I play a specific champ, rune, and item setup that my suggestion makes no sense at all is a serious flaw in logic and I'm wholeheartedly surprised your post received any likes at all, and mine got down voted. Something very wrong with these forums.
