THE DEADLY CADENCE. (Unrelated to Cassio, vague musings for a Rhythm Champion.
Okay so this is going to sound silly. Someone was talking about deadly Cadence, how it was an interesting passive that kept a rythm in place.
Now I may have been playing Crypt of the Necrodancer. Which stars...Cadence. Note, Crypt of the Necrodancer for those unaware is a dungeon crawler in which all actions take place to musical beats. Its a Rhythm Roguelite.
...But what if a champion was based purely around a rhythmic passive. Old Cassio was to an extent. You wanted to balance your abilities to maintain your rhythmic damage.
But a champion actually based around maintaining rythm with their abilities would be just interesting. Perhaps not fully feasible, especially due to lag and --but in theory. It'd be interesting, at least. I mean obviously League is not a rhythm game nor should it be.
But a champion based upon something similar to the dancy-feel of the old Deadly Cadence would just be interesting.
Like, perhaps a passive that stacks up some kind of CD reduction when abilities are used within a window, or refunds mana when their used within this window, or perhaps even both?
Much like how Quinn's passive works. Her Harrier passive does obscene damage, but her missing it increases its cooldown and denies her her W passive--so enemies, and Quinn both need to decide if its worth it to pop harrier and possibly take more minion damage, or on the enemy's side, take damage or lose CS.
I may come back and make a kit design tomorrow later. but I had to put my musings down.
