So, pretty much you want Taric to not be Taric, but Siegfried. That's probably not going to happen.

I said something like this not exactly like this. Siegfried represent Taric very well in my honest opinion, armor guy with great hair. His armor is not too light and not too heavy which I think it is how Taric should be. If he is too heavily armor he would feel too much like Leona if he doesn't have enough armor he might feel a bit too much like Braum or Alistar but not really because they are beef cake where Taric is more lean.

I like the idea of him being a gem-based paladin honestly. Differentiates him from Leona in the sense that she seems more like a stereotypical RPG paladin (Divine powers, radiant spells, etc) and makes him closer to say a heavily armored druid. What I dont like is the massive sword. League has enough swords imo, he needs his hammer and shield. That's what helped to make Taric unique design-wise.
