So, pretty much you want Taric to not be Taric, but Siegfried. That's probably not going to happen.
I like the idea of him being a gem-based paladin honestly. Differentiates him from Leona in the sense that she seems more like a stereotypical RPG paladin (Divine powers, radiant spells, etc) and makes him closer to say a heavily armored druid. What I dont like is the massive sword. League has enough swords imo, he needs his hammer and shield. That's what helped to make Taric unique design-wise.
