Discussion on Void names Latin Origin

So I am writing a short story where I have a language that derives words from Latin, and I encountered "Rex" which is Latin for King and I instantly thought of League's very own Voidburrower, Rek'sai.

The interesting thing is the way I altered Rex for my language is "Rek" which makes me believe Riot followed the same thought process. Rek'sai is a queen after all, and the Latin for queen is "Regina". Both begin with "Re".

Coincidence?

Probably.

But I looked up "Vel" as well, and I found the "vel" or the symbol "V" is used in Latin to represent inclusive or logical connective. Vel'koz's bread and butter right there. He's a scientist after all.

I haven't thought of anything else, but I would love a Rioter to possibly confirm my theory.

(no further research has been done to discover any more void names' origins)

There's an interesting thread in Story, Art, & Sound about this, you should read it if you have the time. I think you'd enjoy it^^ http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/f2tgimyd-something-interesting-about-the-shuriman-language
