To make things simple. When QoD Syndra skin debuted as a 750 skin on PBE a good portion of Syndra enthusiasts/ mains spoke out and wrote many passionate posts on how Syndra's purple orbs clashed with her red outfit. The skin itself was a great concept but it felt 50% done due to it not having particle changes. In these forums many suggested to change the orbs to red diamonds but unfortunately Riot stood by their firm belief that it was too late to change the skin tier and add any particle changes/fx. Many enthusiasts even said they wouldn't mind waiting for who knows how long just to get it "fixed". However, Riot did not want to hold off the deadline in order to push out the card skins which needed to come out all at the same time. So dreams were crushed. However, at least Riot learned a few things about handling champs with heavy particles that are a part of a skin. Such champs cannot get 750 skins.

Actually they could but they didn't for the Queen of Diamonds skin due to the fact that it was only a 750 skin, and they don't often give them new particles (except for quality of life changes as seen in SSW Talon, Warden Sivir, ect.).

Not really, it IS possible for Syndra to get a Christmas skin, it's just that it won't be exactly the same like the concept posted up there. Maybe Riot will make her spheres snowballs/poros instead? or a different outfit? who knows?

Then turn them into ice balls instead. This theme makes no sense with Lissandra since she is already ice. Haha. You would just be changing her clothes lol.

I actually agree this lends itself to Lissandra, but for a different reason. In the lore, Lissandra was originally impersonating Ashe's sister, and she had to take on a human form to do so. I think it would be super neat for her to have a humanized skin that fits into that aspect of her lore.

i agree my two fav mids right now are liss and syndra and riot seems to have abandoned them both right from release. i was sad to see queen of diamonds skinn not have card diamonds instead of orbs as well. plus lissandra has a lot of potential for skins as well imo.

Since when are they ignoring Syndra? She got a new skin this year.. And yes Lissandra has gotten a new skin.. a year ago. So it's more of why are they ignoring Lissandra.. not Syndra.

As a Syndra main, I do believe that her Queen of Diamonds skin is lacking a sense of character. Think of it this way. Justicar is what would have happened to Syndra if she were to have been under the influence of luminescent magic rather than dark magic. It sheds some.. light, if I may, into another story line for Syndra, the Dark Sovereign. This is the same for Atlantean Syndra. If Syndra were to be a citizen of a town that has a presence of water or aquatic nature, then that is what she would have become instead of a dark mage seeking revenge from those who kept her powers locked away from her. The Queen of Diamonds skin has no backstory other than her decision to join a group with the other champions that are a part of the skin set. There is nothing to expand on. She, in my eyes, is a mage who wanted to do as all other people with magical affinity do: seek to expand her power, as well as learning the origins of her magic. and they could be on a sequence like TF card...first cast is green, next one red, then a white , then a blue etc....

R throws it all...gifts, ribbons, multicolored lights, ornaments, and that little string that you wrap around the tree...toss it all as a mess at you.

What about "Dodgeball Champion Syndra" where you hear a "ping" every time someone is hit with an orb. Imagine the continuous pings when she uses her ultimate. I think this would be awesome!!!
