What goes into an Ultimate Skin?

A lot of us have seen DJ Sona and a LOT of us are super hyped about this skin. Looking at this skin its pretty obvious that a lot of love was poured into this skin, so I'm here to ask about how this skin and other skins like (either past or future) are made. Let the creators stand up and be counted. Seriously, I want to applaud you.

How is the an "Ultimate Champion" picked? Do you guys say "I really want to do something cool with this champion." Or do you say "Guys, I've got a really sweet idea!"

This skin is so great I find it herd to believe that only the skin team contributed to it. I can imagine a lore team member making an offhanded comment about the skin that turned out to be an awesome idea. Did anything like this happen?

This skin obviously to a lot of work, but exactly how much? How far back do these skin concepts go? How long has this been in the making?

Many masterpieces go through a ton of drafts, what was the evolution of DJ Sona? Are there any parts of her you regret seeing leave?

And finally, I'd just like to hear about some memorable moments that went into the making of this skin. Anything funny any "Eureka" moments, any funny stories? Its up to you to say whatever you want!
