Same Champion/Character, Different abilities

Think of this What if champion designers make another kit (New passive and abilities) on an existing champion but the personality of that champion is still the same.

Something like an Alternate Kit for a champion

Seeing the Zed comic I saw that Jhin before he was imprisoned was using knives instead of a gun

What if Riot designs a new kit on him that is melee and an assasin

if you dont understand its like

current Jhin Uses guns Says 4

Other side of Jhin Uses magical blades and daggers IDK if he says 4

Of course, the new kit is treated like a new champion (unlock it for 6300 BE or RP for this version of Jhin). But the CHARACTER STAYS THE SAME

It is something that I would enjoy brainstorming about and think about different kits for existing champions, like:

Warwick before his transformation Orianna before she replaced her body with hextech Vi when she still was a gang member Camille Before the scissor legs and hookshots and so on.

However, for an actual implementation in the game, I think this would just cause confusion for players without any real benefit. For example, how would you differentiate these versions when it comes to their name?

It's way safer for Riot to simply use kits they come up with on completely new characters instead of reusing the same champions in different stages of their lives.
