Kingdom Malphite Finalized and the process behind it

I originally created this idea after I saw the Kit Update Malphite is getting and it reinvigorated me to create this skin idea as something I would love to see. Anyway, I finally finished it! Let me know what you think :)

I was watching a couple shows like One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist and I thought about my favorite Rock Top lane and I had this idea in my head, so I made a post about it to see how it'd be received (Original Post here: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/fxAJJ37O-kingdom-malphite) And I was like, "If this gets 1 thumbs up I'm going all in" And it did so I created this concept afterward: https://imgur.com/q5phbFD

After looking over that first, more fleshed out, concept I realized I made the shoulders look a bit too...shabby? So I changed them around and added more life to them. He's a Kingdom and I wanted his body to reflect absolute fortitude

So I kind of revised it to look like this:

I was happy with that for the base skin, so I did a bit more coloring and I was stuck on 3 different color designs So I kind of left them out as possible Chroma Skin ideas:

I left it to the community to see which they liked more, but I didn't get a response Out of the 3 versions of him I chose to work on the very far right concept because it pays tribute to original medieval castles And I finally finished on the coloring and shading (and adding extra details) And yeah, that's what led to this guy -Posted down here in case you didn't want to scroll back up-

I'd say you should be on the skins team, but this wasn't an ahri, lux, or ezreal skin so that disqualifies you.

Looks cool though.

Looks great dude but knowing riot they would say it has too much "visual noise" and its not a yasou skin.

Seriously good work its a nice fitting concept not some dunkmaster ivern schist.

Thats fair, I dont expect them to make this as is, I'd love it if they took this as an inspiration and added their own Riot-like art to it

Yeaaaah... Malphite would definetly NOT want to ulti just to crush thousands of citizens living inside his shoulders.

Hahaha You make a good point If anything, I might just redo the shoulders Or make it a Toy-Kingdom Malphite skin, and after ulting, show little kingdom people shooting up in the air and back down into the castle x'D

Wow, that's incredible. If you are good at 3D modelling, I think you should contact Riot and ask if you can make this for them as a freelancer. This would be Malphite's best skin by far in my opinion.

I'm humbled and honored by your words Thank you so much haha Unfortunately, I'm currently pursuing Video Editing in College as my career path, I just do this for fun from time to time I originally wanted to get into becoming a Graphic Designer so now I can draw I guess

I like where they were going about changing his W to add an auto reset. I feel like they should change his Q to become him chucking a rock Or maybe he shoots out a skill shot that sends out a quake in a line, slowing anyone it hits or damaging minions in that and stunning the champions hit by that quake. When he increases in size, the Line skill shot gets bigger maybe? And his E should maybe change to become a knock up or slow That way he has more utility, not dependent on his ult to make plays and putting him up there to possibly be played in the pro league I'm not sure haha*[zombie-brand-mindblown]*

Especially now that his region is ixtal they could possibly include mesoamerican influences. Maybe they could take inspiration from bacabs. Those were mayan versions of Atlas who held up the sky before running away. Maybe Malphite was tasked with holding up a monument or relic but failed. Idk im just rambling at this point.

That's all really cool and I can think of a ton of things they could do with that new source or lore to influence his kit in the future. He was a shard of the monolith doing whatever tasks he was given, completely happy. I can only imagine what kind of feats he used to do with other shards of the monolith that were literal mountains haha*[sg-zephyr]*

Main bit of criticism, in game most of the details would just read as a dark blob and it wouldn't look good. The concept is great, but I'd really need to see it from the in-game perspective to tell if it works in reality. The castle shoulders look really cool, but they'd have to be simplified some and the bricks would probably need to be bigger to not blend together. Because of his head placement and downwards facing face you wouldn't be able to see most of the details on his face either. If you take a screenshot of Malphite in-game at the normal zoom level and paint over it I'm sure you'll see what I mean. Again, great idea, but unfortunately won't work as great in a top down isometric view. If the game was first person or third person with the camera behind the back it'd be 10/10.
