Part 1 - A new life, a new ambition
The screams broke the silence of the beautiful Noxian night. Not screams of pleasure or death. But screams of life. The lights were bright in the mansion from which they came. On the top floor in one of the bedrooms. A woman with a large belly screamed on her bed, while a doctor awaiting, for the new life to come from between her legs. Her husband stood silent on a chair near the door. He observed the doctors movement. As a high ranking commander in the Noxian army, he knew he had many hidden enemies. He trusted no one outside of his home. He some times didn't trust even his own wife. The screams were no issue for him, as he was used to hear even worse, while torturing enemies to his country. Not much longer and a baby came. A little girl. It cried in the doctors hands, he smiled at the father. -Congratulations Sir. It's a girl! I'll take her to the bathroom to ready her up for the happy parents! - the father gave him a cold look for a moment, then gave a nod as approval. He stood from the chair and went to his wife. -You're a mother. - he smiled. -And you're a father. - she grabbed his hand out of joy. -So did you pick a name for the little one? - he asked her. But before she could reply the doctor came back. He gave the child in the mother's arms. The father was confused when he saw her head. -You missed to clean her head? - the father asked. The doctor looked at him confused. -No Sir, it seems that her hair shall be crimson. - the doctor filled with confusion looked at the father's cold eyes. -My hair is dark. My wife has light brown hair... - he stopped and looked at the child's green eyes. - Green? Wife? Who's child is this? His wife looked at him confused. She looked at her daughter, she did not notice how different she was from both the parents. All she saw was that they had a beautiful baby girl. -What do you mean? She's ours.- she held the child with one hand and tried to grab her husband's hand with the other. He pulled his hand away and grabbed the doctor. -Get out of my house! - he threw him out the room. - And you? How could you?! We may of had our difficulties. Our marriage was arranged, but I still managed to find a way to love you and stay loyal. I didn't expect this from you. - he shouted and went back on the chair. He placed his hands on his face, his fingers slowly moved across his long dark hair. -What are you talking, about?! I loved you from the moment I met you! I never stopped and never will! I was never disloyal to you husband! - she shouted back at him. The baby felt the commotion and started to cry. -Only because I love you. I will allow this child to live. But she will never be my daughter. I'll feed her. Let her educate and when she's the proper age, she'll marry a lord of a different country to form an alliance. She may carry my name so she doesn't bring shame to our family. But still. This child is your daughter. Not mine. - he walked out the room, bashing the door behind him. -Don't worry my little girl. Your father is blind with anger, but he'll come to realize that you're truly his baby girl. I sense his power in you, and my ambition. You'll make great things when you grow up. My little girl. My little Katarina. - she hugged her daughter and the girl stopped crying. At least for now.
