Maybe this is the reason Ryze is getting nerfed

I can only imagine how dangerous he would be if spell vamp was more prevalent.

Just a question. Why the heck is ryze getting nerfed if he's not played a lot? This video only shows that the guy playing ryze is just really good.

What exactly is being nerfed?

His ult is what out plays lee here. The move speed allows him to kite and the spell vamp keeps him alive. This ryze did everything wrong while a lee went up against a tank mage who has lock down spell and q'ed, w'ed e'ed, r'ed leaving himself without a gap closer or any spells and expected to win? he should of waited for cd's or his team instead of running in and trying to kill a no spells used ryze. all i see is a lee who is bad getting out played not a champ who needs to be nerfed. Also people saying hes to strong need to think about what he needs to be strong. Roa and Serph don't come cheap and take a while to ramp. At best a ahead (not fed) ryze isn't going to ramp till after 20 mins. This means like nasus you need to shut him down early so he has less potential late game.
