from a smurfers pov, people in low elo dont listen to advice and cant follow your decision making processes, also they tend to not understand or care what is happening in the game outside of their lane and their teammates KDA
that said if youre smurfing there is no reason not to mute anyone because nothing you say will be heard and you dont need to communicate to carry, i find it more toxic when a smurf abuses the enemy team for mistakes and spams GG EZ at the end of every game
This is true.
From a new player's point of view, just learning to handle the lane opponent you've never faced before, while not dying to the jungler or other guys that come up to the lane to push, dealing with random stuff while your teammates push the empty lanes, and planning what items you're going to pick for this game versus the enemy team composition, is more than enough to handle for the first 10-15 minutes of the game.
The general strategy is: Try to down your opponents towers until level 10+, before trying to help others, in order to not lose your own towers or die to an assassin lurking in a bush.
Especially in URF.
Opponent's I've NEVER faced in 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 in lane, after playing over 100 games of PvP:
Anivia, Azir, Braum, Elise, Gnar, Irelia, Jarvan IV, Kalista, (Lissandra), Nami, Nocturne, Olaf, Orianna, Poppy, Sion, Skarner, Syndra, Talon, Vel'Koz, Vladimir, Volibear, Zac, Zilean...
and then, there's probably some more male characters that I've not listed because they have generic appearances too similar to other male champions (Assassins Creed-like male characters and Gears of War-like male characters).
and yesterday was the first time I met Ezreal in lane 1 vs 1.
He was summoner level 30 -- playing with teammates levels 10-15, versus me and my team at levels 10-18.
