The New Teemo Skin Should Not have been legendary

The reason I say this is because it seems so cost inefficient to give a legendary skin to a champion that is regarded as a troll pick atm, i am not saying that teemo shouldn't get a skin, but riot would make so much more money if they gave it to a champion with even the slightest bit of viability. LIke, i have been playing all day and i have not seen the new teemo skin. When the legendary nasus skin came out, everyone was playing nasus w/ the skin. The point im trying to make is that although it is a really well polished and good idea for a skin, it is and will make very little money due to the communities regard of teemo.

you misunderstand. I have no problems with riot giving teemo a skin, but a legendary skin costs much more money to make than 975 or 1350 rp skin, so when they make these skins they are expecting a large profit from it, something they will never get from this skin, unless he ends up being reworked. A legendary skin on any other champ would be fine, but teemo is just never played. I predict that riot will end up doing a sale on the skin to get revenue from it.

Doubt that, I don't think they have ever put a legendary skin on sale, they have lowered the price of lower quality legendary skins, but not put them on sale. Also, you do realize that the competitive side of LoL is the smallest part right? The casual fanbase is FAR larger and people love Teemo, while they don't love playing against him, they find him cute, his skins always sell like hotcakes. Even then, there are people buying it simply because it is the darker side of Teemo we keep going on about. Seriously one of my friends despises Teemo to know end, he is the one champion he doesn't have and yet he said he is going to get him and the skin because it embraces his darker side.

All and all though, popularity shouldn't decide which champions get skins, because then you fall into the scenario above.

Oh, it is also bullshit because even though champions don't see LCS play, doesn't mean they aren't viable in solo queue, no one likes a sheep.

? teemo isn't even viable in solo q. I never once mentioned the lcs actually lol and like I have said previously, I feel the the same way towards lower tier skins, but if you have noticed, legendary and ultimate skins have only been given to popular champs, because riot puts more money into them than other skins so they wanna make sure they make them tons of money. I'm not disagreeing with you that it isn't a cool skin, it's just that very few people will buy it because very very few ppl actually play teemo.

He is as a counterpick, if he wasn't viable, his win rate would be well below 50 and as for not seeing much play, in normals alone he sees a 11 to 17% play rate, not the highest for obvious reasons, but that is still up there, you aren't factoring in casual players.

Actually I think I saw two of my opponents usingt he new skin just today. Not in solo q though. I think I saw one in Bjergsen or oddone's streams today in solo q though.

Yup! They have never once put a Legendary skin (1820 tier) on sale.

It will get plenty of revenue in though regardless of what anyone says. Teemo is a popular champion, even though hated by a small amount of people.

bro i don't think it really costs more. it just takes more time for the people to make it. and those people are on salary, sooooo........ nothing to lose really.
