Trovatore, the Cursed Storyteller
Lore: As a boy, Trovatore lived in the slums of a mining village in Ionia. While kind, Trovatore was a compulsive liar who was capable of misleading almost anyone. One day, he stole an expensive ring to give to his mother for her birthday. Some town guards, who knew of his reputation, asked him if he had stolen it. He adamantly denied it, and when asked how he afforded it, he spun a tall tale about a vein of gold in a nearby crevasse. The crowd overheard where he said the gold was, and got exited. In the chaos, Trovatore where he went to sleep. When he woke up the next morning, the house was empty; next to his bed was a slice of bread with a note from his parents, which said that they had gone to the crevasse, because "rumor has it that there is gold in there!". Trovatore immediately went to the crevasse to tell them that they would find nothing, but was met with a horrible sight. In his village of a hundred people, fifty had gone to the crevasse to search for their fortunes, but all they got for their troubles was a cave in. He rushed down through to carnage, looking for his parents, but all he found was one of the guards, impaled on a stalactite that had fallen on him. With his last breath, he cursed Trovatore for the destruction his lies had caused, begging anyone who could hear him to exact a fitting punishment. As he said this, a pale green figure appeared behind Trovatore, and lifted him by the throat with one hand. With her free hand, she pried open his mouth and slit his tongue with her ethereal spear. A week later, his tongue had healed, but Trovatore was not the same. The trauma of being responsible for all those deaths turned him into a bitter person, but also, he had become unable to lie. Whenever he told someone a lie, it came true, but no matter how promising the tale he told, it would almost always have a bitter end.
In game, Trovatore acts as a support type champion, who tells the tale of his team before it occurs, in hopes that it turns out well.
