Goals: Fix up some issues with Master Yi's kit to make him better in high elo and worse in low elo. Make Wuju Style a more interesting spell active.

#Part 1: Wuju Style Rework

Passive: Master Yi's basic attacks and Alpha Strike deal bonus true damage on hit. Alpha Strike only deals true damage once per target.

Active: Master Yi peers at a target location, revealing and marking enemies in an area for 2.5 seconds. Marked targets can be attacked by Master Yi once from any range.

Passive is pretty self explanatory. The active is something like a Soraka Q or Swain W, a skillshot that doesn't deal damage but reveals targets (does not reveal invis champions or wards) and marks them so Master Yi can right click them once from range. The animation for Master Yi attacking from a distance would be something similar to Aphelios' scythe pistol basic attacks. The spell range would be something like 800 units, cooldown would be around 15 seconds and the spell would cost 30 mana.

This spell would be useful for scouting bushes and FoW, revealing targets so Master Yi can Alpha Strike them, and for dealing damage from a distance.

#Part 2: The Nerfs

  • Alpha Strike's base damage would be decreased to compensate for the added true damage from Wuju Style's passive, and so that his jungle clear speed isn't buffed. The bonus damage to monsters would also be removed entirely.

  • Wuju Style's passive damage would be lower than the active damage was before.

  • Highlander would now require 1 second of channeling before activating. Master Yi can freely move while channeling and cannot be interrupted, however he cannot attack or use Alpha Strike during this time.

#Part 3: Other Possible Buffs/Changes

  • Master Yi no longer blinks to the same position where he started if the target of Alpha Strike dies during the animation. This was pretty annoying when you're trying to gapclose into a fight, but could sometimes be exploited as a way of poking.

  • Master Yi's basic attack range increased from 125 to 175 to better match his model and animations.

  • Instead of blinking 50 units in the direction his target is facing, Alpha Strike now places Master Yi 100 units from the target, standing between his target and where he was when he cast Alpha Strike. Doesn't make much of a difference, but it makes Master Yi's position more predictable for opponents and less likely to place him in turret range.
