Typical "Harry Potter" Mage?

I was looking at all Mages in league and I couldn't find a traditional wizard with a wand. All mages can either cast abilities with hand or staff (even lux looks like she has a baton).

Maybe it can be like in Harry Potter movies, wearing a cloak too. Each ability will be different (aka different functioning and not based on an element).

Sometimes we search for complicated champs that we forget basic concepts (like the Vampire that is not Vladimir or the Necromancer that is not Yorick? xPPPPPPPPPPPP).

Unlikely to happen. Someone in these boards was suggesting a "typical dwarf champion", he got the answer that while the archetype of a dwarf would be possible, they would put a twist to it.

Look at Warwicks rework. He is LoLs version of a werewolf, but he actually isn't a true werewolf. He is a gene splicing experiment from Singed, including genes from wolves, foxes, bats and probably some more animals. Or the example you gave, Vladimir being LoLs interpretation of a vampire, but he is a hemomancer and doesn't really drink blood.

Games are filled with characters like "the typical wizard", vampires, werewolves and so on. So giving the champions something that makes them different from typical game tropes seems like a good idea.

Vladimir isn't a vampire,he is a hemomancer. The difference?one needs to suck your blood to live while the other just toy with it
