my wukong rework idea, he was my 1st champ
former silver wukong jungle 1trick of season 4 and die hard fan ever since, i feel wukong has a very wonderful fantasy that if brought up to modern league standards would be incredible, im essentially about to describe what i think would be my favorite champion if riot captured my beliefs on what wukong is and what he could be.
anyways so to me, wukongs never been a tank, and i know riot wants him to have that option but he's always been a assassin, high ad diver, very feast or famine and very binary tbh, but thats a good thing it makes him accessible to bad players like me lol, except his W! is this wonderful gift of such a unique kind of skill exspression, his W can bait people and it can juke people, it gives you innitiative and its super cool for innitations and ganks
i wanna the play up the W windows and play down some of wukongs front loaded and easy access dmg, also i think his new passive could definitely make him a unique off tank against aoe centric comps/ death ball comps, he's a master wuju fighter and ultimate prankster, we can make this a reality, we have the technology
so:
base stats important- attack range up to old Q's range, his base attack is always that high but his base ad is lower
: new passive - smokepoppies, man. - when an enemy kills a dancing monkey or a decoy, the monkey explodes in a radius dealing X dmg and stunning for 1 second.
Q: BIG CRUSHING BLOW - wukong does some monkey wuju style, after 1 second delay he brings dorans staff down towards ur cursor, dealing X/X/X/X/X dmg and reducing units armor by percentage
new q is essentially wukongs main dmg ability as he's focused on skirting in and out of ranges and whacking people with this ability from decoy stealth however if wukong is too close he's locked in an animation that leaves him vulnerable to other mobile fighters

W - old decoy, exactly the same don't change it, except ranking it up increases the passives dmg
- this is now an important holding spell you can us on ur opponents to bait a low health play with a stun, as your health gets lower ur opponent gets more bloodthirsty, the longer you hold this ability while fighting an opponent the longer ur passive becomes a reliability
E - nimbus strike/dancing monkey technique -wukong dashes to an enemy and stealths upon arrival around them (think kaisa ult but wukong e range) gaining a brief burst of movement speed, wukong also leaves a triangle of dancing monkey decoys around the enemy he dashes too, after X seconds the monkeys explode dealing physical dmg in 3 aoe circles (think 3 wukong w's after dashing)
auto attacking or hitting a decoy with super crushing blow or cyclone breaks the stealth, also if an opponent auto attacks the dancing monkey you are closest too, it breaks ur stealth
R -cyclone- functionally the same ability with a new effect, cyclone also dmgs ur own dancings monkeys/decoys (because ur a wild monkey man and ur HITTING everything even ur own stuff, but not ur friends, because ur a good dude), giving u the possibility to trigger ur own passive in the midst of crazy, or aoe heavy teamfight, this makes wukong act as a weird stealthy dexterity based caster assassin that also plays a anti aoe off tank, which is exactly what i think wukong is meant to be, he's swift he's, agile and he wild, and he's more at home being the smartest animal the bronze clown fiesta then being a full build tank, squishy builds should be encouraged to make his passive more applicable and his playing around cooldowns and such more important, rather then bruiser beefing people down
wukong is a light fighter, he has a unique space a trickster/staff user/monkey monk dude, and i think a kit based around using multiples decoys and trap bomb dolls and a swift crushing shot to the temple (how he beat yi!) this is moslty just rambling im aware
im just a fan of wukong and i love that champ more then any other champ, even tho my name is red skaarl lol
this is just my feelins tho
as for specifics like the decoys or exploding health and numbers i don't really care about that im more interested in the feel and the psychology of the champions kit, and wukong has a really unique space that i think just needs to be umphed a little bit to be something special
) and ones like Wukong who are less tanky but have more burst damage to make up for it (
). Its most likely will keep him in the second group, leaning along the lines of
