Making Flash and item Active and Stopping the Mobility creep

Flash is a very old summoner spell but I believe it should be removed and replaced by and item active with the same function. Reason are as follow

  1. Now a lot of champion doesn't work without flash but that just speaks to the problem with their kit. Having a summoner spell to patch up things is not really the way to go.

  2. If everyone bring flash, one guy flash on me I flash away just like nothing happened. But if i don't bring flash, one guy flash on me i have no answer. So i am force to take flash. Given the S6 is now moving away from must pick summoner (teleport) I feel like summoner flash should be removed.

Flat out removing flash not only bring out huge balance issues but also makes the game with less out play, so how can we fix that? Solution 1: TL;DR: Make flash offensive only and force people to choose between stats or mobility Full Version: Add an item to the shop that cost good chunk of gold (however much is balanced of course, but shouldn't be too cheap maybe 1-1.5K gold), this item gives the ability to flash(Greatly reduce flash CD). if you didn't take champion damage in last few seconds, this item offers no other stats. This makes so flash is an offensive only tool so you don't have 2 people flash and nothing happens. This also means you will have to deiced between stats or the flash active. For champion with build in dash as simple stats Nerf (stats Nerf worth the same amount or close to gold needed to build the new item, however is balanced of course) should fix the whole mobility creep problem along with this change.

Solution 2: TL;DR Make flash defensive only Full Version: Add an item to the shop that give the ability to blink if you didn't deal damage to any champion is a few seconds and flashing will stop you from dealing damage or CC anyone (so all you can do is walk) for a few seconds. This item does offer some defensive stats but not a lot. Usually champion with dash will not want to build this item anyway, while dashless champion will force to choose between build this item to be safe or risk getting deleted by certain champion (Zed/LB/...). Flash CD remain the same.

Note that I personally like Solution 2 better.

Conclusion: I believe making flash an active acquired by item will making the game more interesting by giving player choose between mobility or stats. Further more this open up summoner choose to be 2 instead flash+x. And by making flash an acquired item it mean the player that does build the item will find flash more effective.

Leave comments on what you guys think, which solution you like better, or do you have your on idea. Just one thing, if you think something is bad with my idea point out what is bad don't just say is bad.

Here's what I think is bad about this idea; you don't seem to realize that Flash plays less of a role in champion strengths than you think. And if Flash is going to be moved over into an item, it would also have to give beneficial stats. Nobody's going to waste an inventory slot just for a short teleport when they have better options for mobility (Youmuu's Ghostblade, Phantom Dancer, Righteous Glory, Movement speed increasing abilities, blink/teleport abilities, dashes, Ghost, etc...) And thus you're not going to fix anything by making it the "offensive" item. And, even with the idea of having it an item with defensive stats +the Flash active...That still is a whole lot more unappealing of an item than others. You're trying to propose it as either a statless chasing tool or a omnidirectional get-away option, and both ideas cause it to waste an inventory slot for the sake of having something better suited to a tertiary spell; I.E. Summoner spell. The way I'm reading this is that you want dash abilities to be nerfed and Flash altogether to be so unappealing it never sees use. "but option two says it could be a defensive item" - you said "with some defensive stats". Which means they'll not be heavily useful, especially against who you cited it would be the counter for; Zed or LeBlanc. Both are assassin champions with exceedingly high mobility. You can't Flash away from them with small defensive stat boosts and expect to be okay. You might even have a hard time getting out with good defenses. So, small defensive stat boosts and a flash? They're only going to be wasted, since Zed can just throw out his Shadows, combo you with his Ult marking you, and even if you "get away", the damage is done. You die, or are forced to retreat. Or get killed regardless of surviving, if he's still after you. LeBlanc can suffer to waste her ult on copying Distortion to keep on you if you do Flash, so...You're still not getting anywhere with that. If you want Flash to be removed as a Summoner Spell, I don't know what to suggest to you, because that's not happening in the foreseeable future.
