Xer'Thaal, The Ruler Of The Void
Xer'Thaal used to be a human explorer from Demacia, but one day strayed to close to the area between the Void and Runeterra and was never seen again. He was teleported into the Void, and lost all of his humanity instantly. He started to become vicious, running rampant through the Void, destroying colony after colony of Void creatures. Eventually, Xer'Thaal had created such a terrified group of followers that they built him a palace in the Void and proclaimed him their ruler. After being in the Void for such a long time, Xer'Thaal has only one goal, to take over all of Runeterra, and he plans to start by taking over Demacia. He Joins the League of Legends in hopes to show his true power and take over all of Runeterra.
Xer'Thaal is a powerful warrior, switching between an offensive form and a defensive form when his health gets low.
Passive: Voids Best Xer'Thaal has two forms, an offensive form, which he starts the game off in, and when his health drops below 20%, he switches to a defensive form, gaining more armor and magic resist, new abilities, loses a bit of move speed, and his range is decreased slightly. the first time he goes to his defensive form, he instantly regains 10% of his missing health (basically putting him at 30% health), this effect can only happen once every 4 minutes, during this cool down, he will still go to a defensive form, but he will not regain the bonus health. Xer'Thaal will change back to his Offensive Form when his health reaches 100% (health regen/life steal or recalling will instantly return him to his Offensive Form)
Before Xer'Thaal went to the Void, he had a grappling hook which he used to help him explore great caves or climb high mountains/cliffs. He carried it with him in the Void and uses it in Battle
Q (Offensive Form): Void's Grapple Xer'Thaal shoots the blade from his unique Void Gun Blade, latching to the first Unit hit, dealing Physical Damage. If Xer'Thaal re activates the ability, he will pull himself toward the unit and deal Physical Damage in a small area where he lands. If he kill the unit with the initial cast, he can still re activate the ability, but he will do True Damage in the area instead of Physical Damage.
Q (Defensive Form): Void's Bash Xer'Thaal's Gun Blade switches to a Gun Shield. He can activate this ability to lunge to an enemy Champion and briefly stun them and do bonus Physical Damage on his next Basic Attack. Xer'Thaal will also gain 5/10/15/20/25 bonus Armor/Magic Resist for a few seconds after the attack.
W (Offensive Form): Void's Tackle Xer'Thaal tackles an enemy, dealing Physical Damage and carries the enemy back. If the target is a Champion and there is a Void Portal within a short distance of Xer'Thaal AFTER the tackle, Xer'Thaal and the enemy will be teleported to the portals location
W (Defensive Form): Void's Portal Xer'Thaal creates a Void Portal at the location under his feet. This portal lasts forever as long as Xer'Thaal stays in his Defensive Form, but once he switches to his Offensive form, the portals only last for 3 minutes. The portals reveal all enemies standing on top of it as long as they remain on top of the portal. Xer'Thaal can charge up to 3 portals to place down in quick succession.
E (Offensive Form): Void's Punishment Xer'Thaal targets a champion, slowing them for a few seconds. The slow starts of at a low value, but it increases every .5 seconds for 2.5 seconds. The target is also marked by the void. If one of Xer'Thaal's teammates hits the target with any Crowd Control (Slow, Stun, Root, Bind, Fear, Terrify, Taunt, etc), the effect will be increased by 50% and deal a small amount of Physical Damage.
E (Defensive Form): Void's Protection Xer'Thaal covers himself with his own personal portal to the Void, Making him deflect a portion of all incoming damage, take reduced damage for the duration, and absorbing any projectiles in a radius around him. (Think of how the Poro King can Absorb any Poro-Snowballs in an area in the Legend Of The Poro King game mode)
Ultimate (R) (Offensive Form): Void's True Offense Xer'Thaal grows in size, Gaining attack Damage, Attack Speed and Attack Range, and the Base Damage on his abilities goes up slightly (10%/20%/30% per rank). Once activated, Xer'Thaal becomes immune to all damage, but his health starts to rapidly decay. Once Xer'Thaal drops below 20% health (The Threshold for Defensive Form), He transforms and the Ultimate ends. If Xer'Thaal is under 30% health he cannot activate this ability
Ultimate (R) (Defensive Form): Void's True Defense Xer'Thaal grows in size, Gaining bonus Health, Armor and Magic Resist. Once activated, Xer'Thaal will also have his Void's Protection on until his Ultimate ends, but instead of just reflecting the damage back at the attacker's who hit him, he also does the damage in an area around him, but this damage only does 50% to the original attacker of the attack. Xer'Thaal will also start to gain health, and the Ultimate will end when he regens 50% of his max health (If his max health is 2000, he will only regen 1000 health, even if he takes damage) Xer'Thaal cannot cast this when he is above 80% health
Xer'Thaal's ultimate's do share a cool down, so he cannot cast his ult in his Offensive form then immediately cast his Defensive Form Ultimate
Xer'Thaal's Basic Attack Range in his Offensive form is 225, and his Basic Attack Range in his Defensive form is 125
After taking a look at the Void Page in he LOL Wiki, it shows that there are 3 things every voidborn champion has in common
- True damage somewhere in their kits (exception here is Kha'Zix)
- Something that enhances their Basic Attack
- Something that stacks, whether it be an ability or a buff/debuff And Xer'Thaal has each one of these in his kit
Xer'Thaal may seem overpowered at first glance, but he has some glaring weaknesses
- He cannot deal with outnumbered situations well. He has a lot of mobility, but only when targeting champions, he has no dash that he can just use like Riven's Broken Wings or Nidalee's Pounce, and he may absorb a lot of damage, but enough focus fire and he will go down eventually
- In his Defensive Form, He can be Kited extremely easy, he has no way to catch up to a ranged champion, and any melee champion with a dash or any sort of mobility will out run him.
- If his bonus health that he gets upon transforming to his Defensive form is on Cool Down, He can be easily killed from a gank, and if it is up, pop it and come back for a return gank when he returns to the lane
