ways riot could help new players
how many times have i tried getting friends into this game? the answer is a lot. ive told them to play the tutorial and learn the basics, and they did. then i would play a bot game with them and what do they do? they only use auto attacks. in the tutorial, riot tells you to build the thornmail, which doesnt help you learn to play ashe or ryze, but it would help you learn what to build on garen. the items riot should be telling you to buy is
- cull. this will help the new players learn to cs, which is important on all champs. they could make a beginners cull for bot games only where it needs 50 cs not 100 cs
- tear of the goddess. this will encourage the new players to actually use their abilities, an essential part of league. again, riot could make a beginners tear that doesnt charge over time but has half the max charge.
riot has their so so tutorial, then sends you on your way thinking they just showed you how to be the best there ever was. changing the recommended items will actually encourage the newer players to learn how to play the game.
