Azir is just... Ehh

so in champ select we had a bit of a miscommunication, i didnt want to first pick a mid laner, so i picked graves for our jungler, he asked who i wanted, i said anyone but azir but he thought i said azir, so lucky me, i got to play arguably my worst champ. i dont dodge games so i gave it a try, cause how bad could it be? well, let me tell you. i get that azir doesnt fit how i like to play, but that isnt the problem. why does his e have a range to it. its not like he can dash half the map if he moves quick enough because the soldiers despawn if you move too far from them, so i dont get why there is a range to it. secondly, he is a mage, that builds attack speed, that pokes from the back (dont even get me started on the clunkiness i felt from his soldiers autos, its supposed to be an extended auto range that deals more damage and pokes through the target, but it only works if you are close to it, so being the range away from it that just keeps it alive means its only use it for your q, you cant auto with it or dash to it), and his ult means you have to get close to dash/flash and ult them, so you run the risk of getting poked and killed yourself. the pros that can play him excellently, then power to them, but i dont feel like his kit has that it factor to make me want to get better at him, it just feels to wonky for me. most of the champions i play (aurelion sol, urgot, galio, etc) they all have a unique niche that once you get down can be game changing, but azir just feels more off-putting and clunky then more of a niched pick. I believe he needs some QoL change, whether it be to his range on his e, the soldiers distance that you need to be in to auto with them, or even an indicator that shows you have to be in this range of the soldier to auto with them, because this guessing game of am i in range or not just doesnt feel right to me

he is really only good if you get some solid practice with his soldiers and combos, he isn't that clunky, just hard to get used to

One of the hardest (possibly hardest) champions in the game + nerfed to trash-tier 40% winrate because of his presence in the LCS. Don't blame yourself even the one-trick-ponies of this champ are struggling with him these days.
