Shimoko - The Blessed Child (Bringing FUN to the Support Role) [Champion Concept/Idea] By: Aerixl

Updoot pls <3

Okay. I have been thinking about the support role and why people do not like to play it. Most people do not like the support role because it is difficult to make plays and feel important/valuable to the team. While keeping that in my mind for the past week or two, I have tried to construct a concept for a support champion who's goal is to be the team play-maker. So, here is what I came up with. I present to you Shimoko, the blessed (Freljord) child!

Shimoko is a girl--similar to Annie--who spent a lot of her time hidden in the ice caverns of the Freljord. After living in the caverns alone for so long, she eventually adapted to the atmosphere. Eventually, she gained powers from a god-like creature known as DA BIRD (Anivia)... With her new powers, she is known as the blessed child of the Freljord.

Her gameplay should feel as if she is truly a blessed child. She should have the power and control of someone who lived in a cave for all their life and suddenly gained ice powers from a big ass bird. She should be a very complex champion with many mechanics and abilities within abilities. As I go through each and every item/ability that is essential to her gameplay, just know that it might get... complicated. But then again, complexity is good and what we want.

Shimoko - Stats: Health: 450.5 (+80 per level) - This makes Shimoko a very VERY weak champion early game. However, over time she will develop into a strong mage. Health Regen: 5.54 (+0.60 per level) - She will have a very strong laning phase. Giving her a decent amount of health regeneration complements her. Attack Damage: 51.64 (+3.1 per level) - She is a mage that uses both her abilities and auto attacks to do damage. Armor: 20.22 (+3.8 per level) - Just giver her a little bit more than Janna in terms of armor. Attack Speed: 0.625 (+2.51% per level) - Giving her a little less than Janna this time. Magic Resist: 30 (+0 per level) - Standard. Movespeed: 325 - This stat is weird because her main item is a pair of boots that gives her scaling movement speed.

Overall, Shimoko is supposed to be Anivia, Lee Sin, Yasuo, Janna, Riven, Malphite and Taliyah all in one as a very mobile support mage who can build half-tank items, utility ap mage items, and maybe a little bit of hybrid attack speed items.

Before I move into her starting items, let me explain some things about her abilities. There are two stages to her abilities. She has stage one frost and stage two frost. Some of her abilities apply stage one frost which might slow. That frost effect allows for other abilities to apply stage two frost which are stronger and more useful. She plays a bit like Anivia, however, her abilities do not do double damage depending on what effect she has on an enemy champion. Instead, the just apply a different type of CC. I will explain more about this when I cover her abilities.

Shimoko - Starting Items: Freljord's Skates (400g): These boots are an item for Shimoko only. They give her scaling movespeed (and because I am not a riot expert champion designer I am not going to attempt to create and give numbers for a scaling movespeed thingy) and they also give her an active at level one. The stats on the boots are similar to Spellthief's Edge, however, they do not give her a passive. Instead, she gets an active which gives her mobility. The active is like a miniature Akali/Ahri ultimate. She has three charges. When she clicks the hotkey set for the item, she will burst forward in the direction she is currently facing for a distance similar to a Fiora q. It does not do damage, it is simply a nice movement option that can be used at every point in the game for additional gap close or escape. After the burst, she will have increased movement speed for the next three seconds. This item will, from level one, make her feel unique and fun. Whenever I play support, I always hate the fact that they do not have any interesting mobility spells except for a single burst or increase like Blitzcrank's W. Shimoko will have three bursts that can be used in many ways to create a more free and fun gameplay experience. Health Potion x2 (50g each): Standard. You got 100 gold left over, why not?

Shimoko - Passive: Her passive creates a trail behind her which is a special type of ice. When she or an allied champion walks on this trail, they gain movement speed. This is sort of similar to Taliyah's passive, but it can help allied champions. She can use the trail to create a path that can assist a gank or maybe help an escape. Just by walking she is supporting her team in many ways. This passive will not apply a slow effect on an enemy champion that walks into it.

Shimoko - Q: He Q is an AoE circular skill shot with a size similar to a Fiora Q. Shimoko immediately creates and bursts a ball of ice. This skill shot does not have much range for it has to be somewhat connected to her body, however, it will have a short cast time to make Q > Flash possible. If hit on an enemy champion, it will give them stage one frost. This slows them for a good amount and applies the frost effect. If the enemy champion already has stage one frost, then this skill shot will stun. If an enemy champion already has stage two frost, then this ability will knock the champion back (like a lee sin kick). Using her gap closers plus this ability can make for some pretty clean plays. Instead of playing Braum and boringly auto-attacking champions to get a stun off, Shimoko has to maneuver, dodge skill shots, and get a stack off before she is rewarded with the stun. For extended fights, it can also be used to inSec or disengage. If this skill shot executes a minion, it will give Shimoko and the nearest allied champion health back and give the gold to both Shimoko and the nearest allied champion. It's basically a Relic Shield passive as well as a CC trading ability.

Shimoko - W: Shimoko's W is another dash. This one, however, is longer ranged. It is like a Camille auto attack and a Riven E combined. it has the length of an Ahri ultimate. Shimoko glides forward in the targeted direction. If she hits an enemy champion, she gains a shield that absorbs all types of damage (gray damage). Her dash does a bit of damage, but it's mostly going to be used as a gap closer. Oh yeah, and if the W hit's an enemy they also get stage one frost so they are slowed a bit. After the dash, she gains some more movement speed. If the enemy already has stage one frost, then this ability creates a circle (size of Darius Q). If an allied champion walks in it, they gain movespeed for a few seconds.

Shimoko - E: Because she is already becoming such a complex champion (and her ult will make her even more difficult) I decided to just make this a simple passive. Every third auto attack, Shimoko jumps in the air--like a figure skater--and throws out an auto attack that applies stage one frost. If the enemy already has stage one frost on them, then this auto attack will give Shimoko movement speed and increased heal/mana regen for a few seconds. This will basically help her with trading. It either gives her a stack of her frost, or it gives her sustain to help her during fights.

Shimoko - R: Okay. So this is going to be very hard to explain so please try to follow along and I'll do my best to make my idea understandable. Alright, so the first part of her ult is like a freeze tag game. When activated. She gains a lot of movement speed--like a Singed ult--and all of her abilities do not apply any of their real effects. Instead, they just mark champions. After Skimoko has marked at least one champion, she will be able to activate the second part of her ult. The second part of her ult is like a Malphite ult with the hitbox size of an Anivia ult and it works as a Yasuo ult. After a short cast time, Shimoko explodes ice all around her in an AoE type fashion which knocks up all enemy champions hit by the ult. Champions who were marked and knocked up will receive stage two frost from the ult. Champions who were not marked will only receive stage one frost. While they are knocked up, Shimoko can activate the ability a third time to suspend all the champions knocked up in the air to deal a little bit of damage. On the way down from the ult, the champions with stage two marks will be stunned. After the ult, all of Shimoko's abilities (except for her ult) reset which allow her to use her Q to inSec stunned enemies and do the other things with her abilities. Her ult can then be activated YET AGAIN for a Zhonyas like effect. She goes un-targetable for a few seconds like Lissandra and regains health. Okay, I hope that was easy to understand. TL;DR, Shimoko uses her abilities to gap close while dodging cc being thrown at her in order to create an amazing play for her team to hopefully engage a winnable team fight.

Items: Shimoko has the potential to be built many ways to help her team. Either a DPS attack speed support, a full ap damage support, or a tank cc reliant support. This gives the player more freedom to build whatever fits his/her playstyle or what fits his team-comp the best.

That basically covers everything! Thank you for reading all of this, and Riot please make this happen! It would be really nice to play a support that can constantly outplay enemies while still doing what supports should be doing.

Good luck on the rift! Thank you for reading! -Aerixl

I like the idea of it. You can make her lore that of like an inupiak girl! The only problem i see of her is because she has so much people wouldn't play her support but more mid lane mage. I would suggest that since she has so much cc make everything do little to no damage so she has to just peel for ADCs but doing it like a figure skating fun lover who jumps around the battle field with glee!

I say that i like the idea of being able to create different options for you to use cc in is a pretty cool idea. Simply that much CC would be fine. going for a bit lower damage or give up some of that cc if you want more damage.

Also I have to say the ult may be a bit overloaded. But a way to help with that would rather tie some of the effects to the other abilities. But overall i think the idea isn't too insane. and definitely well thought out.
