How do people link their champions without the whole URL?

Been creating lots of concepts (Well, a few) and was wondering how everyone has been linking their champions with JUST the name and not the whole URL.

Anytime I go to "Add Link" it just does the entire URL and shows the whole URL instead of just the champion name.

If someone could tell me how to link with just the NAME of the champion, for example one of mine is Kenjin, the Outcast Ronin.

I'd like to link to him, but using just "Kenjin, the Outcast Ronin" but am not sure how without posting the whole URL.

If you put the words you want, Kenjin, the Outcast Ronin, in brackets [ ] immediately followed by the link inside parenthesis ( ), the words in brackets will become a hyperlink. kenjin

Wait you mean this?

Click the chain link icon in the edit bar. You see how there's a bold and italicize option? The one you want is 4th from the right. Plug in the link, and it would do this:

Finally, type the text you want to show inside the brackets [ ].

I know that option, but it always asked for a URL link inside of a tiny box that pops up in my browser, but doing it manually with worked perfectly! THANK YOU! :D

The pop-up dialog box thing still works. It will give you the same thing, but will leave the space inside the brackets blank for you to fill in with whatever text you like.

Ah, ok. I was trying to figure out why the brackets were blank. Manually entering the brackets and just copy pasting into the ( ) works easier for me for some reason. Thanks for the help though.

The hyperlink button is just a help tool for accomplishing the same result. Its useful mainly if you don't already know how to use the formatting syntax, as in most cases it would be faster to type out the brackets and parentheses yourself.
