Random thing I would want: Custom Practice Maps/Servers
For those of you who play TF2, you should have an idea of where this is going.
I would really like custom maps designed to accentuate and practice a given champion's features or certain mechanics in the game. Preferably, it would be cool if those maps are capable of supporting multiple players, or at least customizable bots to give something actually moving to shoot at. Or shoot back at you. Some examples:
- A shooting gallery of semi-randomly moving targets for skillshots or a shooting gallery where you are the moving target and can practice dodging
- A race track for Nunus and Sions to practice their drifting skills
- Reaction time games, such as practicing for well-timed invincibility (
) or perfectly predicting executes
(with no indicator) The return of an official hide and seek modeOr other fun games that could translate like Sharks and Minnows or some variation of tag- Maps that could detect and tell you how fast you animation cancel or auto attack reset (perhaps with a dummy on the side doing the same auto/animation cancel at the fastest possible speed for comparison)
- Similarly, an orb-walk race (let's say, you must stay within/outside a certain distance of an orb, hitting it moves the orb forward, and you're trying to get the orb from point a to point b without falling behind the orb as fast as possible)
- Double jump practice (Kha'Zix and certain other champs with resets)
- Smite fights (let's say, Baron automatically is stolen if it falls below a customizable HP threshold or if a customizable amount of time passes after his HP falls below 1000)
While typing down all those examples, I also noticed that Riot could probably easily implement mini games perhaps related to League but that don't necessarily need to be ran through whatever engine League is using. For example, trivia games, or silhouette/Rorschach tests.
There's a lot of fun space that could be explored if League just had more maps to practice mechanics on or play silly games like Hide and Seek or Tag. If you could implement a custom map on a similar branch, what would you implement?
