Lore: Aelous was a lonely child that lived in Noxus. He had no friends and his family rejected him. He was constantly bullied at the academy he went to, consistently getting beaten up on a daily basis. One day, he wandered into a forbidden section of the academy to avoid his bullies. Unknown to him, he had wandered into the Dark Magics section of the academy. He saw powerful artifacts that were locked away behind enchanted glass. There was one item that intrigued him, the Gauntlet of the Legion. This artifact allowed the user to create copies of himself when threatened. Aelous became obsessed with this artifact and spent much time sneaking down to the forbidden section just to see it. He researched much about its power, and craved it. Years later he broke into the forbidden section and stole the gauntlet. He fought his way out of Noxus, brandishing an ancient sword (which he also stole) and overwhelming those who fought him. He was caught and ordered to execution. The gauntlet was removed from him and destroyed. It was shortly after that Aelous realized he no longer needed the gauntlet for its power, he had absorbed it into himself. With this he escaped his imprisonment on the day of his execution. He survived Draven’s execution through the use of his power to use the copies to block Draven’s spinning axes. He fled far from Noxus to avoid further trouble. He stowed away on a vessel that was headed to Ionia. There he lived a peaceful, but lonely life. Everything was easy and quiet until the forces of the Noxian army attacked Ionia. He saw Ionians slain left and right by the axe of the most feared Noxian known: Darius. Aelous fought the legend with all he had, but not even his copies were enough. Just as the fatal blow was about to be dealt, Aelous saw a massive blade pierce the Noxian through the shoulder. The last thing he saw was a girl wield the blade without even touching it, as she slayed the Noxian army. Darius had escaped, the only survivor of the slaughter. Aelous woke up a few days later, in a Ionian temple with a mass of Ionian elders gathered around him. He was given the title “Guardian of the Legion”, the title of a hero from Ionian myth.
