Udyr VGU Concept: The Mystic Shaman
Lore and Interview:
Udyr is a guardian of nature, a shaman, and someone who would risk his life at all cost to defend the mother nature and the spirit of animals. He is indeed mysterious man and someone who is not interested in friendship with humans but with animals.
Alright, Let's take a look at a part of his Lore!
Udyr is more than a man—he is a vessel for the untamed power of primal Freljordian animal spirits. When tapping into their bestial natures, he can harness different strengths, channeling untold speed, resilience, and brutal ferocity. With their combined might, Udyr will turn back all those who dare to harm the natural order of the world.
Udyr could use interactions with other Freljordian champions. However, he is not meant to be a friend of anyone but only those who wish to seek his mind to understand what mysterious and spirituality he is among the mother nature and the spirit of animals. More importantly, Udyr should heavily focus on the spiritual connection during his interactions, and if mentioning others, then he should mention these of the following names because they only exist through the spiritual connection with his mind. Kalkia Hejian Avarosa Serylda Grena Helnr
Visual Design:

This design is a brief hint to us about what could a Viking Shaman be like
By Brahim Bensehoul
This design shows some interesting drawings, and a lot of different Norse shamanic beasts that Udyr could shapeshift into.
More interesting drawings that shows how much Udyr could be worked on in terms of his visuals to a beastly savage Viking shaman.
Example 4: http://www.eklettica.com/Udyr_fullbody.jpg
This picture represents his ultimate skin: Spirit Guard Udyr. It looks good in game, but do we find interesting differences between the 2 looks? If so then we all know that even the ultimate skin could use a rework to even look better.
Yeap that's a shamanic shapeshifter right there, a great looking savage Viking shaman who enters the spirit of an animal to shapeshift.
Example 6: https://i.redd.it/xoosdo2bj0f31.jpg
Look at this, you will always see the spirit of Elks, Bears and Wolves around him Ravens aren't showed in this picture but they are 1 of the main symbols of Freljord, ravens are all over the air.
As a Viking shaman who has a lot of connections with the beast world, animals and mother nature. Udyr should be a big guy, intimidating for the humans who dare to invade the mother nature, and ruthless to them. In his VGU, he could look completely awesome looking Viking shaman compared to how terribly he looks now.
Gameplay Design:
Role: Jungler Class: Juggernaut / Diver
Base Stats:
Health: 600 - 2300 Health Regan: 8 – 24 Mana: 270 - 800 Mana Regan: 7 - 15 Range: 125 Attack damage: 62 - 130 Attack Speed: 0.658 (+ 0 – 45.39%) Armor: 30 – 90 Magic Resist: 30 – 60 Movement Speed: 345
Udyr should be both diver and a juggernaut because he is not just a man, he is a shaman, he is suppose to have the ability to change his gameplay to either aggressive and ruthless, or guarding and surviving, and ofcourse that depends on his stances in game, he is suppose to have beast/animal forms. However, I will have to admit that "Turtle, Tiger and Phoenix form for a Viking shaman is completely a mess and out of his lore". We all agree that he is a magical being, that is true, but he should never have any interactions with Turtles and Phoenix the most if not Tiger because he is Freljordian afterall, and the spiritual animals of Freljord are Wolves, Bears, Elks and Ravens. These spiritual creatures are meant to be for the Viking shamans, and thus, because of this reason Udyr will be more than happy to enter the spirits of these 4 listed animals to exactly match and fit his lore because he is a freljordian, he has nothing to do with turtles, tigers and phoenixes.
Most importantly, Udyr should completely shapeshifts into these following animals in a more terrifying form of them. More demonic version of these animals. Also, he should have different unique interactions of each one.
Yorick level rework required

Overall conclusion:
Udyr will be a unique, challenging, fun, and powerful jungler who has a lot of different concepts of gameplays based on his spiritual form of which animal he is connecting to. Therefore, he will be the truly freljordian shaman that everyone would love to see in the summoners field.
Pros:
- Multiple decisions for gameplay
- one form remains as main form for the whole game
- Can be built very differently in each form
- Has a powerful scaling into late game
- His E allows him to shapeshift into a complete beastly animal form, what's more badass than a Viking shaman who shapeshifts?
Cons:
- Challenging to master
- Multiple possible risky plays in early game when there is no form
- Needs to work hard toward which form he wants to be
- Easy to counter his jungle in early game
- No form that is OP against all targets, every form is strong against specific targets, which means the counter plays will be open too in late game
In conclusion, with the change of his overall abilities. This is a work from scratch Udyr concept, and he will be played as his perfect shaman Viking role of Freljord. He will be both visually awesome looking and rewarding for those who wish to seek his shamanic power of shapeshifting in late game. Overall, his concept matches his visual and gameplay very well in terms of what type of a man he is from the lore, what does he do, and how his shamanic powers affect his spiritually with animals.

I hope everyone enjoyed this concept. It honestly took me the longest to finish, because Udyr's overall Lore was very deep and mysterious. Therefore, I took much longer than I expected to finish his VGU concept. I know that some of you guys were interested in Udyr's VGU when I asked about the VGU list between Shyvana, Skarner, Nocturne and Mundo. Therefore, I managed to make this concept for all of the Udyr fans, and those who are interested to know more about Udyr in future. Feel free to give me your feedbacks, I will be happy to respond whenever I can. Thanks everyone for your interests in Udyr's VGU!
