Cross-Posting

For those that are unfamiliar with the term, cross-posting is essentially posting the same piece of content in multiple valid locations to increase visibility. This happens pretty often on reddit due to the fact there are so many user-created pages that share content focus. Anyway, I have two questions about it.

  • How does the Boards currently handle cross-posting? Is it encouraged, no opinion, discouraged, or moderated against?
  • What is the eventual goal for handling cross-posting, if it's any different than current?

For fellow players, what's your opinion on cross-posting, either on the Boards or just as a general concept? Any particular examples of cross-posting you have seen here, either positively or negatively? I'll include a poll referring to the Boards specifically, I'm curious as to what you guys think.

Personally, my view is along the lines of, "One OP, one topic, one post." I'd prefer to see one big discussion about champ XYZ being OP than 5 smaller ones.

That being said, there ARE fine lines and places where content makes sense in multiple sections. I'd like to see more of a way to collect posts on similar topics.

I'll just link the mockup I made earlier for others. Doesn't need to be versions, can be any collection of content.
