New Player Experience

edit since I don't think I explicitly said it in the OP: Please add a New Player Experience board.

One of the most glaring things I notice on the boards is that there's no subforum that specifically handles questions like "What are runes and masteries, and which ones do I get?" or "I'm an [x] type of player, what champions would suit me?", questions that newbies like me would ask. I realise that numerous people have stated that Riot's attention is on retaining players than seeking new ones out, but I find the tutorials and the current new player experience to be an unhelpful nightmare.

There's many guides, videos and vods outside of Riot's immediate jurisdiction that cover all of this stuff, but why should other people have to clue in newbies when Riot could be helping it along themselves, or at least giving other experienced league players an avenue to do so. Even games like Eve Online which I found initially to have a pitiful new player experience has a board for helping new players with things that everyone else would already know. I think it would be worth it to have a subforum on the boards specifically to help new players with these basic kind of questions, instead of me having to ask, say, Miscellaneous about runes and masteries, where I doubt most people would want to help.

Think about the newbies, Riot. We may not seem that important to you, but we exist.
