I dunno about this current board moderation

It seems that the GD board mods and the GDers are currently in a pissing contest. I know the mods will always win out (because bans) but I'm not sure if that they are right. Let's be honest, people are always going to toe the line. That's human nature. However while some lines are needed, you need to realize that pushing the line too much towards prudishness isn't exactly a good thing; just as pushing it too far away from prudishness is bad too. Here's an example, the mods started taking stuff down for being "too mature" so people started posting OFFICIAL ARTWORK PAST AND CURRENT which was on the same level of the stuff that's getting taken down. I also want to say I think it's bad if the mods go after people for being too close to the line but aren't crossing it. To me that means the mods are a little over sensitive or over strict. Allowing sexy is fine IMO as long as we aren't showing nudity or anything like that.

Here's an example of the problem the acceptable line could cause.

Most people would point out Soul Calibur's Taki from being the inspiration: [insert image of Taki here]

Wait... I was going to post an image of her, I mean Taki has been a mainstay of that series for a while until she was replaced by that blonde chick but I don't know if I can.

Why? Becuase thanks to your bloody mods I don't know where the bloody line is anymore. Do you know how messed up that is? I can't post an image of a major character from a popular fighting game series because your mods have a jammed so far up their butts I don't know if could yank it out.

That's sad.

Yes Taki has some massive Torpedo Tits that could sink a cruiser. She's also a pretty obvious source for the Crimson Akali skin as well as a source of a lot of fan artwork. I know that Riot is trying to level up its prude skills but if you look at some of the old and current splash arts, it's also clear there's a place for sexiness in the league.

Now part of me wants to say you guys have become prudes because of what happened in smite. You saw people complaining about a similar game and overreacted yourself. Here's the problem: the people complaining where full of crap.

Youtube game theory smite and see why. You see it's pretty obvious that Smite's creators did their homework. I'd post the link here but I'm not sure I can because I don't know if classical nude art is allowed. I'm thinking not. So basically the nudes modern culture says we should be looking at for its artistic value aren't allowed. I get there are forum rules. However, the core cause of these rules are based on a lie. If we can't talk about how people lied in another game's forum to get these rules created, I dunno what to say. Loosen up?

Finally there's something I need to get off my chest. A lot of the images that are being removed are in the anime style. I wonder if maybe it's not the content or the cleavage that's getting them taken down but the style. If you actually read GD you'll see there are people who really don't like japanese artwork. So is that a part of the issue? Maybe.
