@Riot, do you care what we post on the boards?

I've noticed in most posts that bring up some great points, there isn't really any indication that Riot is actually taking it into account or merely considering the basic idea.

The detachment between Riot and the community is quite disheartening at times, especially when a post on easily exploitable glitches coughinvisispearscough or pressing balance issues coughZedcough seem to be COMPLETELY overlooked.

Thoughts?

There are hundreds of these kinds of posts, some which they can't comment on, some which they can and have, and some which aren't even valid yet salty biased kids keep reposting; how many times do they have to address an issue before they've done it enough? Even if they reply enough to satisfy you, they'll just get harassed every single time so they really don't have any incentive to. Most people that demand a Rioter to give them attention on a post are demanding it of people that have nothing to do with the problem (like telling someone who works on balance to fix a server issue), or won't ever be satisfied by the answer anyway.

if they can take the time to scroll through and read it then they can take the time to reply. Its not a hobby running a game, its THEIR JOB. THEIR JOB is to make sure the customer (THATs US!!!) is happy. Are we not supposed to post on the forums and share our opinions? O and smart ass if they same posts are being made over and over again by different people what does that tell you? how about you stop whoring the forums and go play in game and then you will see the "biased" kid's view, while your @ it how about you check what biased means in the dict.

We both know what bias means. The difference between our understanding is that you can't accept that most players have no idea what they are talking about when they propose or demand changes because they don't have the data or experience to know how it would affect the game overall.

Their job is not to make individual players happy all the time, it's to provide the most compelling experience possible for as many players as possible. This is a really important distinction; players might not necessarily know what's best for overarching development and delivering the right kinds of experiences, whereas Riot generally has a more informed perspective.

Do they make mistakes sometimes? Of course. Should we call them out on those mistakes? Absolutely. Not every change they make will be something everyone likes, and as long as the changes make the game better overall I think that's OK.

I completely agree here, though not with the tone. If the same (legitimate) concerns are being consistently raised by players, it's possibly a pretty good indicator there's something Riot can be doing better in regards to communication.
