So forum coding.....

I just accidentally found out about how to make a horizontal dividing line like so:

You make a new, separate line and use three dashes [---]

This makes me wonder what else you can do beyond the things given in the basic tutorial box. For people like me with little or no internet page coding experience, would anyone care to show how to code any other nice tricks like this that can be useful for future forum posting in the comments?

This platform doesn't run any common character shortcuts that I know of like say, vBulletin GD.

The ones with the best knowledge of the shortcuts are the devs followed by those that experimented and found them.

There's apparently color and font size formatting, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

Honestly having someone code a custom VBulletin mod to include custom riot stuff would be better than this "beta" software. Go to create a new thread and you will see a formatting guide which will help you get the general idea. This format here as opposed to the old forum (vbulletin) is not better! Why they didn't go with IPB is beyond me....the best forum software hands down!

just so you know,
[*] and [-]and [_] all do the separating line thing you mentioned. You have to use three of them though, just like you did in your example.

___ [I really like italic bold stuff]___

I did the italic bold by using three underscores followed by a space, the message, then three more underscores.

*** [more italics and boldness]**. Same with the separating line, I believe the [], [-] and [_] are interchangeable.
