So the last Rioter to help out in Help & Support in the CB was here over a month ago. Props to Riot Baconhawk and all, but I have rarely seen any support there. I realize it's a matter of preference for the support team, but is there any other reason that the CB H&S sub-comm seems so neglected?

RiotHeintzer3 votesYep, thanks for pointing that out. There are a couple things we need to develop before the Help & Support board can work for our player support guys & Wrenchmen. Things like attachments in comments (now live) and board-specific treatment for user groups like Wrenchmen (soonTM).

Roaranor1 votesI always thought it was intended; that it was more for players to help one another where possible with technical issues they've solved or experienced themselves at some point. Something like,
"Hey, has anyone had this happened to anyone else?"
"Yeah, doing so and so worked for me when I had that problem."
Seeing more red attention would definitely be nice though. I spend most of my time there nowadays, but I'll admit that for a lot of the topics, all I can really do is encourage them to send in a support ticket which is frustrating for us both.
Sir ArmaMalum1 votesI'm not saying red replying should be the only thing but the occasional red activity is nice to reassure someone coming in that their problems have the possibility of being addressed by a professional. I try to help out where I can but anytime I find an actual problem instead of a general complaint I can only sometimes help.
And on a much more selfish note if more people trust the H&S sub-comm there will hopefully be less of these kind of posts outside of H&S. I was getting a bit, slightly, ever so little tired of about to redirect to H&S only to find they also already put a post there as well.

As for the second bit, I've noticed the duplicate posts as well. Some of them are players that posted topics in H&S thinking it was a general sub-com rather than for technical issues, and I directed them to the proper sub-community. Others were, as you say, players posting a concern in both H&S and another sub-c.

Kidding of course, always good to hear about people helping people navigate the CB. I think we can all agree it's confusing even at the best of times :)
