Sorting Methods

Hi everyone,

I'm curious as to why the sorting methods differ in how threads are organized (Best, Hot, Recent, or Recently Replied) versus how comments are organized (Best or Recent). Is there a design reason behind the fact Hot and Recently Replied aren't available methods through which users can sort comments?
