Can something be done about players who blindly go through the forum and down-vote everything?

I noticed that all at once, every new post in gameplay was downvoted. It's pretty obvious that a player went through and downvoted everything at once. Is there some kind of algorithm that could determine when a player was blinding down-voting (or up-voting) entire swaths of posts and undo their damage?

If your morale is tied to a +1 or -1 larger problems are at hand. Did you review the content of all of those posts and determine they were laudable and indeed deserving of a +1? The up and down voting is the communities ability to indicate their opinion of a thread. Assuming that someone is doing it "blindly" is just that... an assumption.

It isn't about morale, it's about healthy moderation. Even a system that limited a person to one vote every 5 seconds would improve the current situation. People who disagree with a thread for any reason related to content are perfectly healthy and justified in voting as they see fit. I am only talking about those who log in and immediately down-vote everything they see for the sole purpose of knocking every post that happened to be unlucky enough for that to be their first vote out of the "hot" moderation view.

I think the same is true for the folks who mass-up-vote every topic, but that is far more rare and it does not typically knock fresh posts out of relevancy before other players get a chance to read them.

What's wrong with downvoting? Maybe I don't like the thread topic or title, boom downvoted. Or maybe I don't like the posters name.

I'm only referring to the players that literally sign in and start down-voting posts as quickly as their little Donald Trump fingers will let them click, regardless of any merit /content of the post.

LeeSin is just mad he can't read any of them.
