[Bug] Character Limit

So in my post here I hit the character limit and went well over it. But interestingly enough after I trimmed it, I found I could put in much more past the limit if I added more when I went to edit after the initial post. Is this intentional?

Personally I prefer it like that as I make a habit of chronically massive posts, but I realize I am a minority of essentially one there :P
