Maybe there should be a lock on those words at the start of a post, or a special "post of the day" tag or icon, that's not just an addition to the title?

Edit: What if this actually became post of the day, and it had two "Post of the Day - "s prepended on it :O
Posts of the Day are pinned, so they already have that identifier. An emblem would be a good addition though.

I think there are a few other problems. Such as some people repeatedly getting PotD whereas others haven't even gotten it once or the fact that it's not always the case that it's well written. (Which can be forgiven because sometimes it's EU and english isn't people's first language)
Still, I feel PotD shouldn't be something you can hit over and over. It should sorta be a special event that everyone gets a chance at. Giving it to the same person twice or more seems a bit unfair.
(But then again I'm probably mad salty)
