Very heavy on mobiles

Leaving aside the lack of responsive design and the fact that the login dialog hides itself behind the keyboard at decent zoom levels (which I don't mind, having a 6.4 inch device, but I heard iPhones are somewhat popular and slightly smaller), the board seems to be a very heavy site as well.

Rotating or zooming causes 2 seconds of screen redraw; and after a few instances of this, every other tab you had open is paged out. It also locked up twice in 30 minutes, forcing me to reload to get the page to scroll again. 2 GB RAM, latest Chrome on Kitkat, Z Ultra.

Smaller devices also run into the problem of having an unacceptable amount of screenspace wasted on the sideboard and margins.

I've had the boards decide that I don't want to read them on my phone, I merely want to view the far left margin when zoomed in and I click a link.

New forums wont even load on my phone. It's a fairly recent android, had no problems with GD before.

I love the part where it takes upwards of thirty seconds to load a thread on my phone. Old forums were instant. How is this improved again?

I'm a bit surprised there was no consideration made for mobile devices. There are several stats that point to most people accessing the internet from their phones, which should really make you question any company that doesn't have a mobile version of their website.
