Is Riot Turning into EA? from boards to Odd choices.

I may not have been a member of the LoL community but over the past year and a month ive been here, ive seen riot do some downright stupid and questionable things, perpetrated by Riot. It seems they change things without offering much choice - a la the boards. These things are downright awful. and not nearly as reliable as the old ones

-What about certain events that were specifically announced a few days after Christmas so RP cards bought during the holiday are used up and now more would have to be bought.

What about constantly promising things like a more centralized server for us East Coast guys?

What about that horrid leave-buster system?

why are champions from 2 years ago still ridiculously priced? better yet why is IP so bad? you have to play this game religiously to avoid buying 6300ip champions with money, and while understandable - it's incredibly unfair to quite a lot of people... you would have to play a LOT to buy those 6300 ip champs... but worse yet, a new rune page is 6300ip...... why?

All of these things are things that the Community never signed off on, or wished to, but they were forced down our throats anyway, much to our chargin. With barely any answers (or genuinely bad) all the while hurting the consumer. It's pretty Bad PR - and it's really horrible when im virtually Unable to defend the company behind the game i love and have devoted so much time to. I dont want RIOT to become the next EA or Ubisoft, I want them to be what they were before.... and i cant be the only person who feels this way. as a consumer i want to be able to trust Riot, and when you rank in a Billion dollars in the year of 2014 i cant call you some "small company" anymore.

Please understand guys, I love this game, i love Riot, and i don't want to see them go down this path anymore.

I honestly don't understand the entitlement people have. Free to play. You NEVER have to give Riot one red cent for an awesome game, and you complain about it? How do you honestly expect a business to stay in business without money? This isn't a charity. Google "Cost of a server per month". Then Google how many server farms does RIOT games have? The cost of this game on a monthly basis to the company itself is very high, and then you complain about MOAR FRE SHTUFF RITO!

You don't like their pricing structure, find another game. Are they EA? No, I wouldn't support them if they were. EA releases unpolished content and charges a MINT for it. (Mass Effect 3). RIOT is doing everything they can to be a great company, I am pleased as punch that people get "ignored" when complaining. More focus on content and ignoring the bottom 1% of complainers is a quality company.

Should be a 3rd option- They already are EA.

dude you sound like you are expecting everything gifted to you the way YOU want it. 1. riot is a company that makes money (that explains the ip thing and the christmas thing) 2. the east coast thing? yeah theyve failed there 3. leaver buster is in the works, at least thats what they keep saying 4. i dont see the problem with these boards? if you dont take the time to figure out how to use them you have no one but yourself to blame

stop being a child, and just be thankful this game exists
