[Idea] Showing Post Updating

So, simply put, give a small icon or small indication of a post being recently edited, and going a bit more advanced possibly unread edits. Champion Concept posts and half of the things I write myself can profit from this. As well as being a key feature for the (hopefully) eventual ability to favorite posts. I believe this should only be for large edits (more than just spelling/grammar corrections) and possibly show when the edit was made on mouseover of the indicator.

I'm no web designer but maybe something like this?

Interesting idea.

I can see some potential for having a flag on posts that state they've been edited or maybe even 'updated' / 'OP has made edits'. And as you've hinted at this type of notification has a great, natural relationship with favorited posts.

Something facebook-style* would work too

We could make improvements on the facebook system by actually showing where the edits were.

You and me both lol. Ideally it would be in the control of the OP, all in all a feature to replace me tacking a "Last updated xXxX" at the top if all of my posts would be what I'm going for here, as well as a way to show "hey something new may be here" for the front page.

True, however I think I might prefer that to the current state of people being able to edit their posts and make you look silly when your reply no longer makes sense.

Is it fine with the current CB community? Absolutely. But I see some major troll potential when GD migrates over here.
