Is it gone, or just not up today? Personally, I don't mind if it's gone. I think it was cool when the community was small, but now there's so much activity that there's no way you could reasonably see all the threads that might deserve it.
I think it's still a cool idea, the problem might be how many pinned threads there are at a given time. It would be even better if it was actually daily instead of "Post of the (Every Third) Day."
Post of the week might've been more sufficient as some of the posts were..... ehm.... less than satisfactory, but beyond that I did like the concept immensely.
