As you can tell, I was furious at the time I wrote that. (Does "this board infuriates mobile users" count as constructive feedback?) Anyway, loading a page from the boards on mobile takes an order of magnitude longer than loading just about any other site and it loads everything else first and then the text.
It does not fail gracefully if you lose connection while loading; unlike most other sites, it doesn't throw a timeout error and try again when you regain connection, it just sits there with a background picture and never tries again (but when you tap refresh, it downloads the picture again).
The pages also seem to be very heavy and thus get swapped out very quickly when you tab out - I'm on Android with 2GB RAM, but the iPhone 6 with 1GB probably has an even harder time.
In short, what we need is an app. :P
