Also these threads need to be hidden from the main page view. they are not important. Also it tends to be bad players giving other bad players advice, without knowing the play style or goals of the player asking

This took me a while to figure out what you meant (which may be why you're getting downvotes). I think what you want to say is, "Why are mods directing "should i get X champ" threads to this board? They are threads are about players buying X champ, not playing or feedback."
I would be confused if mods were directing those threads here. I think they belong in Champions & Gameplay or Miscellaneous. Could you post the message you received?

Maybe not important to you. Shouldn't we let the community decide, by voting, what's important to each person?
In the VERY DISTANT future, I know the Boards developers want to give you way more personalization and control over what you see on the home page, so you'll hopefully be able to customize your home page so you won't see these posts, but people who want to see them, will. In the meantime, if you don't think those posts deserve visibility, downvote them.

Oof. That's a pretty heavy assertion. I'd be careful making those, especially since you haven't exactly given evidence to back it up.
