Mods are you going to enforce Sub board division now that GD has been forced into the main boards?

GDers used to and still down post what ever their heart desired on any subject matter. Now that they are beign shown on the normal boards it is only fair that they be forced to use the proper sub sections like the rest of us.

GD is no longer an isolated section and now obvious game play and other topics are being viably hosted on GD. Hell even things that should be in M&G are being posted in GD.

If the rest of the boards have to follow the rules, we should require GD section (the now MISC section) follow the rules.

I understand where you're coming from, but GD has it's own slightly different set of guidelines and culture which formed and was formed by the strong community that dwells there.

Its purpose is literally a place where you can discuss (almost) anything, even if there is a more appropriate board; it's the difference in guidelines that makes them want to post a Gameplay appropriate post in GD instead of Gameplay, and that's ok.

P.S. I agree with you, but don't really have much support on this.

Threads on Gameplay and Meme & Games still get more attention/upvotes than they would on GD.

If GD was taking away from threads in Gameplay and M&G maybe you'd have a point.

I normally post my gameplay topics on GD instead of gameplay because then I can at least post them for players to see who might at least have a slight amount of experience with the game (as most GDers have been here for years).

Making GD completely follow subdivisions like you say would completely kill off GD and make it a useless board.

As long as Rioters don't start posting on GD again, you don't have much to worry about on everyone only posting their stuff on GD and the other subsections dying.

So if I understand your frustration correctly you are upset that the board about talking about whatever is a board to talk about whatever and now people are actually more aware of it because topics can appear on the front page? We have always had some gameplay related topics on GD and some of them are running joke that you wouldn't understand like how over powered Garen was with DFG.

If your frustration is about Gameplay topics having to be related to gameplay and concepts and creations needed to be a concept or creation then we could have all of the boards assimilated into GD and ho no topic limitations. It does however make riot less likely to see said post if all posts are moving off the first page in a minute or 2.

Those boards have rules on what can be posted to keep topics to a specific kinda to topic. GD is not intended to be limited to one kind of topic. GD does not because GD is more the place to just talk about pea and mayo pizza because you feel like posting about pea and mayo pizza.

If you have something related to gameplay you should still post it on gameplay.

GD also has a lvl 7 posting limit, compared to 15 for everyone else. Unfortunately the mods for GD like it being "special", yet think they deserve (exact word used) the front page. It seems a bit odd to me to get special rules, much lower moderation (Cause the mods are active GDers), and even lower limits on posting, yet be put on the front page with very different rules on every other board.

It's kinda great how unified GD is on GD, especially after some monkey decided politics were a good topic and several groups were at each others throats.

Hi, GD Mod here.

We actually had this planned for quite a bit because we want GD to grow. We've been working with a Rioter to open up the community so it's less "dead." When I say "dead", I mean we have quite a few people! However even with quite a few people, we felt like it'd be nice to have some new faces, and new faces means we have to have easier access.

Pretty much all of the Universal Rules still apply, the really only false one being "name and shame" -which still exists-, just, we're extra careful about that rule because we poke fun at each other harmlessly with joke call out threads. (In humor, specifically on GD, it's fine so long as everyone is enjoying it and the person called out isn't offended).

We still don't allow targeted harassment, we still don't allow racism, we still don't allow overtly sexualized content (however we have been opening up on the "sexy" rule due to more than one reason, but still, keep it within reason), and we actually -did- close down discussions of religion and politics. So in that regard we actually "cleaned it up some."

GD has had its own special culture for many many many years now, and it's something we're passionate about. We're overall pretty cool people though, aside from a couple bad apples which i help handle. But there's plenty of shiny nice awesome apples too.

Apple girl is still banned however.
