Vote observation

I noticed that voting results for in-post polls aren't displayed prior to casting a vote (unless there is a way to see results that I'm not aware of). It is my assumption that this is either a deliberate attempt to avoid bandwagon bias, or that is just an accidental result.

I have had many personal complains about the upvote/downvote system. I was wondering if this would be good to be implemented there. You can still up/downvote, you will still see how a post is fairing after you vote, and as the poster (since you technically place an auto upvote).

I know this isn't a problem otherwise and most people won't even see it as a worthy change/addition. I just think it could help the quality of the boards.

Thing is, you can't change your vote in a poll. You can change your up/down vote. So I'm not sure this would be helpful. It's a good idea though.
