Hey people at Riot, if you see that something is in the wrong section,** WHY CANT YOU JUST MOVE IT?**

Posts can have a lot of time and effort put into them, and its such a pain to see that your post was completely deleted forcing the user to have to go into the post, click the edit button, and copy/paste it in a new board.

This isnt a revolutionary idea, most forums do it, so why doesn't this one? it's such a slap in the face, especially if you're looking for community or riot feedback.

This and many things are what the League Boards are lacking. It's hardly worthy of licking other game forum's shoelaces.

why not just post it in NOT the wrong section to begin with? I'm pretty sure that right under the boards list on the left there's a little box that says "Guidelines" that gives a brief description on what that section is about. I'd feel bad for them having to manually move all stuff posted in the wrong sections every time, When they remove your stuff and send you the message, it's probably so that you can take a second to read and think where you're posting it so it's not in the wrong section in the future.

Some things apply to more than one board.

I made a post in regards to a game play issue which was Project yi's ult was really difficult to audibly detect, resulting in an unfair DEATH

This got deleted "Put it in Story and Art next time"

This begs the question. it was clearly an HONEST MISTAKE why delete the thing with a giant middle finger like that? Again MOST other forums just move the post, because they understand it happens, some issues can apply to more than one board. I would see that as game-breaking because it has resulted in some unfair deaths - which means it directly affects game-play.

according to BOARDS HOME most of "story art and sound" is people asking for new skins, trailers, etc etc. With that impression you wouldn't think to go there for an issue like this.

"it's probably so that you can take a second to read and think where you're posting it so it's not in the wrong section in the future." Thats a very weak excuse. In this case the issue can be down to perception. Which begs that question - why not JUST MOVE IT? Why put somebody through such a frustrating experience, when the issue wasn't just down to carelessness. If somebody spots something in the gameplay that negatively affects how the game is played, they're clearly having a frustrating issue that they want resolved or at the very least a dialogue.

That is beyond player unfriendly, and lets not get me started on the fucking MEMES that appear in Gameplay with likes up to over 100. Why dont those get touched?

The whole thing is backwards and user unfriendly. ANd by all means if a shitty little fan forum can do it why not Riot?

well, it's story, art, and SOUND, which deals with things that happen in the client and in-game. Though it might be a part of his ult, the sound it makes is not a gameplay mechanic, it's more along the lines of the team in charge of audio/sounds so that would be the board they probably more likely frequent and would get noticed there better. Also if it's really something you want to have looked at, just take the one minute it takes to highlight, ctrl+c, ctrl+v it

boards home doesn't dictate what goes on in each board, the guidelines do. Sure people might ask for new skins, but that's because everyone and their grandma just wants to buy and show off their skin so it's the most common type of thread there along side of graves cigar threads and "whurs muh lore" threads. actual skin ideas and concepts will get removed and told to post in concepts and creations board, same with fan-made lore and anything that is created and not official riot material.

pretty sure they talked about this one in one thread somewhere, but honestly i don't even remotely remember where. I BELIEVE it was in an old post by a red about boards moderation, I think they said it had to do with the way the boards were coded, or I could be wrong. It's been a while.

That is beyond player unfriendly, and lets not get me started on the fucking MEMES that appear in Gameplay with likes up to over 100. Why dont those get touched?

while annoying, those are technically still talking about in-game balance, even if completely exaggerated and honestly cluttering. I wouldn't want to have to be the person removing every single one of those either, i'd slap someone. with a cactus.

The whole thing is backwards and user unfriendly. ANd by all means if a shitty little fan forum can do it why not Riot?

IDK, same reason I'd honestly like to ask them as to why they removed teambuilder and just recently dominion. It's their game, their boards, they can honestly do what they want with it and anyone that doesn't like it can go do something else. Like you said, there's fan forums and stuff that I'm sure plenty of other people go to for league stuff. Nobody's forcing anyone to be here really. If you wanna use em, go ahead and use em. If you don't, then don't. If you want to submit a ticket to try to talk to a rioter or support staff and see if you can try to actually ask them for serious answers, then you're 100% free to do so as well, just remember what you're actually trying to GET from using the boards and aim for that as your objective instead of trying to nitpick at it. If you feel something is actually broken, inadequate, or need some ACTUAL answers without other people on boards trolling about it or making obnoxious comments, contact support. just gotta stay chill.

Numbered by paragraph segment

1: Im relatively certain pressing a button "Move to" would be so much quicker easier and less frustrating for the Users. or if thats not an option for whatever reason, why not allow US to move things to different boards? Like it or not, Riot is a company, and WE are consumers. why go through such trouble to piss us - the consumers off

2: BULL SHIT. direct quote from the Gameplay and balance guidelines

if it’s about playing the game, it goes here.

What i posted about applies to BOTH boards. The guidelines do NOT hold set in stone "what should and shouldn't go here" segments rather they're much more abstract in nature

3: if it's something that's both concerning and annoying then why not recode or add code to the boards? When i started this game we had the original forums, they were SIGNIFICANTLY better. if you're going to remove/ ignore features, why "fix" what wasn't broken? and is it seriously too much to ask to give moderators the ability to JUST MOVE THE FUCKING POST? These boards were in beta for over a year, and this question was raised then. in what world is it sensible where you can delete a post but you cant move it? Hell, before you even post the damn thing, you can chose which board it goes to on the side with the "chose a board" option.

4: No theyre not. Post Title:_ Why is Ekko always so fed?_ Post:_ Because he always goes back four seconds_

I'm loving the double-think here so in one instance it is 100% in the wrong section and it's the user's fault even though the issue can apply to more than one board..... in another instance, one is CLEARLY just a meme, with 0 relevance to any gameplay and/or balance and it is "technically still talking about in-game balance?"

Bullshit! You yourself admitted they're annoying - probably because THEY HAVE FUCK ALL TO DO WITH ACTUAL GAMEPLAY AND BALANCE!! Perhaps you should rethink those sentiments or did you just do it to confirm your natural bias? taking the "holier than thou" path isnt working too well for you is it?

5: Ahhh the "go somewhere else" schtick - the mother of all bad consumer-based arguments. That's where you're going to take this? Sure, they can do whatever they want with THEIR boards, BUT you do realize that the more they piss off the players (their salaries) the more they lose money.... riot is not immune to decline, just look at Twitter, or the Fine Bros.

Here we have an issue - the boards are deleting actual discussion-based posts and pissing users off instead of just moving them but whenever a meme comes in it's A-ok. this is not a minor nitpick. Obviously this is a pretty big oversight. Once again if smaller non-profit user built forums have accounted for the fact that some things may not be in the right section not out of user malice, or carelessness rather something applying to more than 1 board, then this means it's a relatively common occurrence in forums everywhere. The logical conclusion here is that Riot is behind the literal rest of the world on their wanna-be Reddit boards.

Funniest thing is they've obviously accounted for the fact that this happens because they made an automated message for it - again clues that this happens relatively often. And now we have my complaint. it's a fucking slap in the face to users.

And whenever we users have problems with their boards. where do we go? what is this section called? Boards feedback. What you have just said basically boils down to "don't use boards feedback to offer feedback on the boards, just go somewhere else." Question for you, why do you think the boards have this section?

"just gotta stay chill." No. things dont change unless users/consumers get pissed. thats how consumer-hood works
