Would it be possible to update the service status page more frequently when the boards go down?

When the boards go down, the first place I check is the service status page. I'm regularly let down by the service status page as none but the largest disruptions in service are ever communicated. I have to regularly turn to other users in chat rooms to figure out if the issue is on my end or Riot's. Could you possibly communicate better when the boards go down?
