[Inquiry] Private Messaging

Can/will the CB platform support private messaging?

I ask this because other sites such as Imgur have this service and I keep seeing areas where this feature could be remarkably helpful.

For example;

• Moderation messaging (why someone was banned, post deleted)

• More subtle Rioter-player conversations when needed/wanted

• Conversations on ideas and out of game-client player to player messaging

• Not having to friend someone in-game to talk with them (and only them) about a forum topic

• Cut down off-topic de-rails

You would of course need to tailor the service with things like conversation prompts (ability to 'decline' a conversation request to prevent spam and such), ignoring and others to make it useful, I only use the Imgur comparison for a good example of how it can be used.

Naturally I have no idea how hard this would be to implement, whether this could be run through the client chat services or not, or anything along those lines. I'm simply wondering if that idea has been accepted or shot down yet.
